VERY VERY light talking. The clicking/whisping of the roof of the mouth as you pause between words. It's hard to describe, but the feeling of anticipation when someone is pausing is really triggering for me.

That was the one theme I really enjoyed during the ASMR craze. Some creators were really good at it. The personal attention was almost as triggering as the whispering.

Interesting question. But I posit that the Golden Age of ASMR was probably 2010-2017. After 2020 ASMR videos - like 99% of the world's entertainment - went to crap. Ultra HD and 4K surround sound videos, and many are incredibly thinly veiled sensual videos (find more on Patreon). And of course, humanity will exploit anything it can for its own benefit, the more questionable the costumes and more questionable the content; the more people will pay for it.

When a movement with limited history or intensive research turns on itself - which it always does sadly - people use the 'unknown' into profit. You can also lump ghost hunting and "political analyst" into this too.

The alleged ICE problem. I live half block from a park; and from April through today, saw a LOT of non Caucasians playing volleyball, playing tennis, throwing frisbees for their dogs. Seems the ones that ICE were "targeting" weren't scared to leave their home; they are living a regular fun life in the warmth of spring and summer.
