I can definitely relate to these!! That’s how i felt right away. No more connections, no more regular discussions and friendships etc.

I didn’t like it, so I started ongoing group chat and we discussed about yoga and teaching gigs and yogic lifestyle, simply meet up and hang out.

It’s not big and small numbers, yes. Including myself it’s only 4 people. But i still love them, build connections with them, want to grow with them. So it’s giving me some comfort

Well tbh i would not visit korea at least one year. Korean guys are fine, but some korean guys could turn out to be a real NIGHTMARE (Insanely possessive, aggressive and manipulative) Since you already worked in Korea and got paid by “brands”, quite literally you broke the regulation and he can try to use that fact to hurt you. All of my Korean ex were sweet, but my bff’s ex was haunting my friend for 3 years. LEGIT 3 YEARS. She ended up filing a police report and sued him so he backed off now.

But honestly, if you’re feeling a bit defensive toward the studio (not saying you are, just in case), I’d recommend giving both sides a little grace period to chill and settle in. You definitely shouldn’t be a doormat, of course!!, but going with the flow, especially since it’s your first opportunity, is also important in my opinion😌

For me, having a yoga teacher friend (as in network/community etc) tremendously helped me getting new jobs. I also helped another yoga teachers (relatively new) to find a gig.

On top of every great advices here, I also recommend you to check out CE in your area. Then go there, meet fellow teachers in person, learn and grow together even if it’s only 4hours, then growing your network there.

That’s how I met my new bff yoga teacher there and landed me multiple teaching jobs.
