The UI certainly should be addressed but it is early days so they’re probably trying to see what works. I think it’s always better to be minimalist. Tracking multiple health bars is very cluttering and maybe needs a workaround.

Game models have improved from XV2 but the bar isn’t very high imo. Xenoverse has always had ugly models. This feels like the biggest visual improvements (probably too saturated though)

Having more female fighters in the series was a plus imo but you could tell the writers just wanted to streamline the transformation process which just further trivialises the trope.

Cool design and initial premise. Narratively wasted imo

Outside of the male conservative reasons this game may have received at launch I think some are overlooking the fact that the game did not release in a good state with major outdated mechanics, which required a major update to fix. Once that happened the game became much more playable. Unfortunately by that point the damage may have been done.
The game as it stands is enjoyable but I think it does outstay its welcome if you’re not diehard fan.
Sadly I feel a sequel would have made great improvements but the game released in a shoddy state.

I can see that. He can present a feeling that the story spins its wheels because we know he has to survive.

I’ve just started too so can’t give you too much advice outside of minimise your HUD completely via custom display with your chosen HUD at the double tap of your trigger button (R3 for me). This way you can just take in the gorgeous world and then when you need to navigate it you can temporarily bring up the UI.

Yes it works as a build tailored to your play style. Most of my skills so far are honed towards the hunter tree as well as survivor

Yeah this is true. He’s the lineup’s punching bag but technically is a very competent fighter in his own right.
It’s also his intervention that made it possible to befriend Fat Buu and help in the defeat of Kid Buu so in a poetic way he’s way more valuable than Yamcha and most of the Z-fighters 😂

In terms of stature, Mr. Satan lost his imposing figure as soon as he was revealed to be a fraud against Cell. Obviously the signs were already there but he was only drawn that impressive in his first ever appearance. Another trigger was the 7 year break when he was visibly older and his character was already established as a ‘charlatan’ compared to the Z-fighters where he was notably shorter.
TLDR: His height change was also to illustrate character design and how he was no longer to be treated seriously after his first appearance.

Personally I don’t think it should matter if she’s ’A-List’ or not. Also you mention the majority of gamers but she seems pretty popular from what I saw. I’ve also heard she’s lovely to work with from anecdotes in the industry. I don’t really see this being a ‘inclusivity thing’ as you say and can’t understand your criticism but fair enough if she doesn’t work for you 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well thank you for keeping an open mind 😅.
It has some advantages I feel in that it establishes his time in the greater story and can easily explain his perceived non-involvement at crucial moments later on.

It further cements Darth Vader’s prowess and would remind fans of his capabilities particularly when a lot of the complaints being his ‘Disney nerf’ era.

It creates an emotional impact for the player who has invested in Cal and his struggles over the trilogy of games while emphasising the threat and constant oppression of the empire.
A tragic heroes end that feels earned and keeps to the soap opera lore of the franchise. Win-win
