Let me help explain for you:

Starting Strength guys are incredibly dogmatic. Anything more than 5 reps in a set makes you a cardio bunny and will probably cause you to get weaker, if not kill you.

Never mind that bodybuilders, powerlifters, and athletes of all kinds recognise the benefits of periodization and training in different rep ranges: this is bro science (but, to be clear, we also reject actual science for good measure). Just do your fahves, forever, and if you aren't progressing it's probably a sign you need to put on another 50 lbs.

Any sort of weight training outside of the big lifts as prescribed by SS is a waste of time, and is a sign that you are probably gay.

If you want to look good in the mirror, it means you want to look at handsome shirtless men in the mirror, which is gay, Democrat, or both.

There is also a rather strange insistence on cosplaying as a no nonsense macho Texan man with a moustache while relaying this message.

Not really. "Extremely nasty history history in both directions" is the mother of all cop outs, and a surefire marker that someone has no idea what they're talking about.

Google "IDF 42 knees in one day," check the date, and get back to me. Likewise "Operation Cast Lead" and "Operation Protective Edge." For the latter in particular, look up the civilian death toll and compare it with October 7.

Btw: last I checked, collective punishment of civilians and genocide were both war crimes.

Huge-Reality-2174

one started with one butchering 1200 of the other's people

The fact you weren't paying any attention before 2023 doesn't mean it started in 2023. Read one (1) book.

Ukrainians are white, and therefore Undeserving Victims, while Palestinians and Iranians are brown and thus Deserving Victims.

That's basically all there is to it.

Huge-Reality-2174

Second part is full blown ignorance though

Not really. Disagreeing with you is not "ignorance". I am very skeptical of the claims made about "long Covid" and other alleged chronic fatigue illnesses like ME. So much of it seems to be psychosomatic, vaguely defined and concentrated among a specific demographic of highly anxious and neurotic people. 10% of people who get Covid are not bedridden with brain damage six months later. Pure scaremongering nonsense.

I have a degree in virology

Lol, of course you do. Everyone on Reddit has a degree in whatever they happen to be arguing about at the time. I have a degree in the psychology of anonymous Reddit bullshitters, as it happens!

The only "claim" I'm making is it's time to get over the Covid maximalism. You don't even have any evidence that's what Hans had, lol. It's pure neurotic wish fulfillment.

Believe it or not, people occasionally get colds and viral illnesses. It isn't the end of the world. But I'm sure you know that, given your "degree in virology".

There's a lesbian bar in western Massachusetts that I urge you to visit.

Like I say, a bit of self awareness would go a long way. It seems that's some way off, yet

Huge-Reality-2174

Is the Afghan men's cricket team specifically responsible for the actions of the Taliban government, as the person I replied to said?

And no, Australia is not solely responsible for the way Afghanistan is today. But the combo of lofty self righteousness and not-very-thinly-veiled racism is a bit much.

Huge-Reality-2174

Australia was part of the force that invaded and occupied the country for 20 years before abandoning it to the Taliban, hope that helps!

Huge-Reality-2174

Bit of self awareness about the reasons for why Afghanistan is the way it is would go a long way. Your own country played a big part in it

Huge-Reality-2174

It was practically in Schengen in all but name

If by practically in Schengen in all but name you mean "specifically not in Schengen at all," I suppose you have a point.

I also love the idea that you think the UK would want to rejoin the EU without joining the Common Market, when the precise opposite is more likely to be true.

Do you actually know anything at all about this subject, lol?

Huge-Reality-2174

Your username is very apt. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Huge-Reality-2174

Americans do this all the time. Day-veez. Drives me nuts, even though it is very minor and I recognise it's quite unfair of me. Lol

Huge-Reality-2174

I use Hargreaves Lansdown and they're decent, maybe slightly expensive with fees but nothing I've really noticed tbh. They also do a Lifetime S&S ISA, which is why I picked them. Would recommend opening one of those (even if just with £1) before the govt scraps them

Huge-Reality-2174

Why are we still calling him by that moronic stage name? It's like a particularly thick middle class person's impression of what a working class name "should" sound like, lol

Huge-Reality-2174

I tend to find that that loudest "Islam should be mocked" voices are the same people who say "freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences" and support people losing their jobs etc.

So which is it. Make your minds up, Reddit neckbeards

Huge-Reality-2174

This is very obviously not true though is it.

Amazing people are still believing Ukraine's official casualty figures.

Huge-Reality-2174

Solve it by getting rid of it, lol. It's really not that hard.

It was an attempt at playing to the gallery by the Cameron government. There's no iron rule that it has to stay forever

Huge-Reality-2174

It's kind of missing the point to think the ones on £100k are the problem though, and very typical of the British race to the bottom mindset.

You can make a simple point that policy choices and inflation mean £100k isn't the huge salary it once was, and the instant reaction on this hellsite is to shriek that other people have it worse, rather than think "hmmm, maybe we need to think about how we can get the country out of this rut."

I'm sure that this time we can just income tax our way out of it though!

Huge-Reality-2174

Creating incentives to lock even more money away in pensions for several decades rather than it circulating in the economy is not actually a good policy outcome

Huge-Reality-2174

Taxing the people on £100k more does nothing to help the people on £25k though. So it's a largely pointless thing to say

Huge-Reality-2174

I got the RDX 10mm lever belt and it's been good for me so far - I'm in a similar boat to you although probably a bit more of a beginner (6'3, probably 90-95kg? and still on an LP program). Feels like i can brace hard for squats and deadlifts - I don't use it for benching though.

From what I remember it wasn't too expensive either.

Huge-Reality-2174

It's genuinely very funny at this point. Despite all the evidence that Starmer was out of his depth, and the constant chaos during his time in office, Reddit has gaslit itself into thinking he was Quietly Competent™

Huge-Reality-2174

No more so than Rishi Sunak.

He's overhated, for sure, but he wasn't a good PM and Reddit needs to stop pretending he was.
