It's gonna be all right, buddy. You'll get through this.
HumanSuitcase
Internet hugs.
HumanSuitcase
Hey, thanks for putting this on my radar! I'll definitely check it out.
HumanSuitcase
Don't worry. We're so close to Offut you won't even feel it.
HumanSuitcase
No. Pay the fucking tax like the rest of us!
HumanSuitcase
Hell yeah!
HumanSuitcase
I *love* that we're a melting pot. I enjoy meeting people from places I'll, sadly, probably never get to visit. But I also like to eat and tend to find lovely people who will share their food.
HumanSuitcase
A!
HumanSuitcase
Build that man a statue.
HumanSuitcase
Ok... Counter point. Don't join organizations that break it's citizens rights to privacy.
HumanSuitcase
Didn't join the military, go into the private sector, you'll make more money.
HumanSuitcase
Shhh.
HumanSuitcase
Probably stupid question, probably gonna get down voted to hell: Has the City tried asking the denizens of the encampment to clean it up?
HumanSuitcase
If it's not for you, it's not for you. No hard feelings.
HumanSuitcase
Shh. Adults are talking.
HumanSuitcase
I hate this country.
So... So much.

Tl;dr: AA isn't for me.
I went to 1 AA meeting. The guy running it started off the meeting with a very inappropriate Caitlyn Jenner "joke".
I did not go back...
Granted: that is not reflective of all AA meetings.
That being said: AA does have it's problems. It's not based in any science. It's not regulated at any level, really, so what can happen is that you'll get sentenced to AA as a form of diversion. However, it's not really therapy so it actually doesn't help. Additionally, there are those in the program who know that they're going to find vulnerable people at AA and can exploit fact to get power over people in gross sexual ways.
It's also very cult-y.
Since AA was basically 'White Knuckling it with extra steps' anyway, I just didn't go back.

The situation in Gaza has been going on for more than a year. Protesters have been saying for at least 8 months that they were going to with-hold their vote from the Harris campaign. The Harris campaign chose to ignore those constituents, didn't let Palestine have a voice at the DNC and then she proceeded to tell them to "shut the fuck up" when they tried to warn her.
1) whose fault is it that she didn't earn my vote?
2) Why would I vote for a person who treats my concerns like that?
HumanSuitcase
I guess I see almost 40,000 dead in Gaza under a democratic administration, lead by a party that declined to hear Palestinian voices during the DNC.
When they tried to make her listen she said "shut the fuck up, I'm talking".
Do I know that this is the reason? No. And frankly I don't care. 40,000 people dead, the vast majority of whom are women and children. From my perspective both parties the same. They're both awful groups of people that shouldn't be allowed to govern a chicken farm.
HumanSuitcase
Oh, I knew she wasn't going to win. That's why I didn't vote for her.
HumanSuitcase
Because you aren't paying attention.
HumanSuitcase
Democrats stepped on their collective dicks again. Nothing more you could have done.
She shouldn't have been so pro-isreal, maybe Michigan would have been different.
