А при коммунистах что было и есть, если не "тоталитаризм"? То есть когда коммунисты расстреливают за правду - "этого не было, это все западная пропаганда, а если и было, то они это заслужили." А когда предложение сажать за вранье, так сразу тирания!

That's true but Hamas is on the whole different level of evil so it's wrong to equate both sides.

For example, the Allies also used propaganda, lies and commmited a number of warcrimes. But we don't say that they were nearly as bad as Axis powers because they weren't. Although I'm pretty sure people who try to equate Hamas to Israel nowadays are the same type of people who defended nazis back then.

If someone tries to kill you the most important question is apparently "to what digree do you want to kill me"

Then you don't know what is a religious sect, nor do you know about states such as nazi germany. From babies, they're brainwashed that Islam is a superior religion and everyone else must be killed or enslaved.

Nazis were also educated, so what? Just admit you're supporting Palestine cause of ethnic/religious reasons (arabs/muslims can't be wrong, right?) and not because of objective truth.

Maybe it is possible, considering Islam is younger than Crhistianity. However, it'll take centuries and a lot of sacrifice. So even if it is possible it's just not worth it.

This is exactly the modern anti-western propaganda. Instead of saying very obvious lies that "we're the best" like they did in USSR, they are now saying "others aren't better than us".

Islamophobic rhetoric

Phobia is supposed to be unjustified. But I can't call it "islamophobia" when islamic groups all over the world behave like christians from the medieval era. Mutilating and killing people of other religions, carrying terrorist acts, proclaiming superiority of their religion, standing against personal freedoms, women and minority rights, and generally opposing democratic and liberal values whenever they can.

Palestinians aren't some freedom fighters, it's an ad they use to trick naive westerners. The only "freedom" they are fighting for is the "freedom" to opress others. Palestine is an islamic state ruled by terrorists. If they defeat Israel it's only a matter of time until they switch to other countires, and then the world. Their ideology is as bad if not worse than nazism.

In fact, if Israelis didn't arrive to Palestine, the whole territory of Palestine would be a base for some kind of international terrorist organization on the scale of ISIS. Or, at the very least, the whole Palestine would be a second Afghanistan. But thanks to Israel there's more land where people can be free from islamic opression and endorse science, art and progress.

As others have said, it's the civilians on both sides of this conflict who suffer the most.

I feel like at a time when world leaders could have stepped up and made a genuine effort to try and find a peaceful resolution, they have only fueled this conflict.

During WW2 german civillians also died when the Allies went into Germany. So by your logic they should have stopped their advance and made peace with nazi Germany to prevent any further civillian casualties. Great logic!

Western countries indeed refuse to provide dictators who mass murder people and pocket the money, only giving a few bits to their people. But China doesn't care. This is exactly my point.

Western liberal values are a privilege of a surplus material condition thar Africa doesn't have right now.

The point is Africa will never reach this material condition if it won't be democratic. Liberal democracy is the only path.

What mattered with Afghanistan was that the war ended, and with that brought stability.

I'd imagine someone with that logic supporting nazis during ww2 cause it'd "end the war".

Taliban are literally the bad guys who won. And naturally one side winning ends the war, but it doesn't mean evil winning is good.

If anything, Afghanistan has improved since the US left.

It's an incredibly poor country which can only produce drugs. Taliban removed most good institution installed by the west, education, medicine, everything's being destroyed by islamic radicals. People (especially women) are tortured and murderer if they refuse to obey barbaric rules. This wasn't government's policy when US was in charge. And if you fail to see this, then you're lost.

Europe has no right to judge India since they were the one that laid waste to this country for more than two centuries

I'm not justifying any of the warcrimes colonizers have committed. But in the long term, if europeans never set foot in India, Indians would still be living in tribal age.
