Yes I think the whole point of this guys post is it is a business model they are now coming to the conclusion of. Its slowing down.. they'll be asking people to spend $1000 on a console that does what...4k 60?! 8k 120 fps lol? Who cares?? The biggest dick competition is retarded. PC gamers are whining about consoles, when its far easier for studios to focus on one or two set systems than a myriad of set ups...every PC master race person weirdly assumes they are the target audience - they are not. Studios have to spend a ton of time optimising for PC..and also the Series S the other end. Spreading too thin is a nightmare for studios.

The reality is the tech focus is causing the industry to panic. As an example, take say Formula One - cars cant go that much faster (without rockets added!) and F1 reached that peak a couple of decades ago. Stuff slows down (if you'll pardon the pun)

Its like TV manufacturers pushing for 8K...errr no the market doesnt need it..but the manufacturers do. This is the issue.

There is simply no need. The only reason that exists is to milk every last $ from Middle Earth as possible by a woke and desperate Hollywood. We saw the quality decline drastically in The Hobbit.

What I would rather see is a faithful Middle Earth game akin (in production value and quality and reverence to the source material) as the recent Avatar and Harry Potter games.
