If you've wasted a year building a site, think about your opportunity cost loss vs. just paying someone to get it done right. Plenty of people out there can do. Before hiring, ask for references and examples so you can test their previous work. You can go to places like Upwork and get it done quickly and cheaply. Stay away from custom coding and Velo coding. Just stick with WIX studio and its existing elements. Two of the most important characteristics of a website is that it is simple and it works. It's not a science project nor an art project.

The cheapest and fastest way is to just build a simple site from scratch. There is no "porting" or migration app that actually works.
Saying that if you want a simple site why not just make your site simpler and not bother migrating to WP?
