Not only did Trump once again fail to assail Obama as a snob and pose as the champion of the Cheesecake proletariat, but he went in the opposite direction. He dismissed Obama as such a rube that he would settle for appointing the White House with tile that could have come from a store as low-class as Home Depot.

Our candidate was born in a humble log cabin and has the backing of the common people, whereas your candidate is the son of privilege and represents the aristocracy. Because he is instinctively elitist, however, Trump has always struggled with the populist script.

Submission statement: The Rule of Law Project will investigate and document instances of public corruption and state violence in the United States that go unexamined and unpunished. It will build the criminal cases the Department of Justice would have brought in ordinary times, and then turn over case files to state and local authorities or a future Department of Justice willing to uphold the rule of law.

It's probably not that nefarious, I'm the op and I couldn't even post a submission statement without clicking that agreement link. I think they're trying to get more substanative comments, but I'm not sure it's working, seems to be shutting people out all together.

Submission Statement: Semafor reported that Weiss was particularly focused on El-Sayed’s (nonexistent) ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and 9/11, and Talarico’s (also nonexistent) trip to a mental health facility. El-Sayed, an Egyptian American Muslim, has denounced the Muslim Brotherhood numerous times amid Islamophobic attacks from both the right wing and the Democratic establishment.

And somehow, I really don't think Zolan Kanno-Youngs is offended; I'm pretty sure he appreciates that his work is being shared widely, particularly at a time when the country is in turmoil, and honest brokers of information are more important than ever.
