This is how most card games are? A meta with a few best decks existing at the top is inevitable. It is impossible for this not to be the case because impossible for a card game to be balanced so precisely that all strategies operate at the same level, and it’s impossible to convince everyone to not use the most optimal decks or cards. This is how it is in every CCG.
ImagineShinker
For anyone seeing this, I caution you to actually read a reputable guide on Shenhe rather than trusting some misinformed rando on reddit.
ImagineShinker
If no one recognizes your joke, it wasn’t a very good joke.
ImagineShinker
Blocking you.
ImagineShinker
Because my claim is the general consensus of the theorycrafting community for this game across multiple languages.
You’re just some random dope on reddit.
Have a good day. I won’t be responding again.
ImagineShinker
Okay you actually have to be trolling. No one is this much of a dumbass. I literally provided you a direct quote from one of the most respected English Shenhe guides on the internet that directly supports my claim.
I’m done here lol. You’re actually trolling me.
ImagineShinker
Go read, dude. It’s so easy. Just read what the damn thing does. Also, reread my last comment.
ImagineShinker
I’m claiming that the damage numbers you’re doing have nothing to do with you having Shenhe’s C6, and actual theorycrafting supports my claim. Go read what the thing actually does.
Edit: actual quote from KQM
Insignificant depending on the scenario. In most Ayaka rotations, only 2–4 more Icy Quill procs are gained from C6. It does alleviate Shenhe’s “weakness” of Icy Quill’s Trigger Quota being consumed faster in AoE scenarios, but that alone does not make it worth going for.
Where this Constellation really shines is against enemies who are not tanky enough to warrant using Ayaka’s Burst. This usually happens in chambers with waves of weaker enemies. Essentially, this Constellation increases Ayaka’s damage outside of her Elemental Burst significantly, but does not justify a completely Burst-less playstyle.
In scenarios where sustained damage is necessary without relying on Ayaka’s Burst, her most effective Normal Attack combo is N4C to maximize C6 Icy Quill procs. However, in practice, the optimal combos depend on the content, making them subject to change.
ImagineShinker
Shenhe’s C6 isn’t going to make a single difference in Ayaka’s damage against a single target over the period of a few seconds. That’s not what the Constellation even does. Your Ayaka would be doing the exact same amount of damage in that scenario if your Shenhe were C5.
Also, even if that were the case, if you’re fighting against a boss your Ayaka should 100% be opening with her burst which almost instantly uses up all your quills anyways. Not using her burst immediately is a DPS loss.
Have you ever actually read the ability? What I’m telling you isn’t just something I’m pulling out of my ass. What I told you is information included in well regarded Shenhe guides and primers across multiple websites and languages.
Go read what the thing actually does, then come back.

If you’re playing your Ayaka properly and bursting the moment she goes on field then her C6 is getting you a very minimal amount of extra quill activations at most.
If we’re being totally logical about this, it’s very much not recommended to get it if you’re using her with Ayaka and it never has been. C2 Shenhe? Yeah, absolutely. But going all the way to C6 to use her with Ayaka only becomes good in situations where you don’t want to use Ayaka’s burst, but still want to benefit from the increased quill quota. Which is pretty much only ever going to be the case against large groups of very weak enemies that are grouped together.
So, it’s situational at best. In a proper full DPS rotation it earns you a couple extra quills at most, and it’s best use case is in a situation where a well built Ayaka with a good team will usually do enough damage to one-shot enemies anyways.

Good thing they were talking about the entirety of the fucking North and South American continents, which consist of over 30 countries that are not the USA.
A lot of western Europe and Australia have it too, for what it’s worth.
ImagineShinker
If you’re saying that then you seriously misunderstood the tone and intent of my comment.
ImagineShinker
C6 Shenhe is also not “worth it” from the perspective of actually making her a better support unless you’re using her with Wriothesley.
But that’s not why you C6 a limited 5 star. You do it because you’re an idiot who likes a fictional character too much.
I say this all as one of those idiots who is extremely happy with their C6R5 triple crowned Raiden Shogun, the embodiment of useless waste.

What’s up with this dude’s nostrils in that photo?
ImagineShinker
You’re not wrong because that is true but the example is just weird because break, specifically Rappa and Firefly, absolutely prey on Cirrus. IMO Cirrus is far and away the easiest DU boss to fight as break.
ImagineShinker
I like Yoshimaru // Reyhan at least because it encourages you to run a bunch of legends that deal with +1/+1 counters so the deck feels different and not just like some dumb goodstuff pile.

People like the OP aren’t looking for a diverse and vibrant meta.
They want to be able to find success by playing random jank while having neither the ability to build an effective deck nor the piloting skill to make a mid deck be able to hang with the best.
If they want a brewer’s paradise so bad, they should look into commander or just kitchen table Magic. Competitive 60 card constructed has never been what they describe, and likely never will be.
You won’t be able to grow the same kind of self policing culture that exists in EDH because that’s not what 60 card constructed is about. Some people like Spike are able to brew decks and succeed with them, but people like him are very few and far between.
There will always be a meta, and decks that don’t measure up will always get pushed out. This is an unavoidable fact of life when it comes to games like Magic.
ImagineShinker
Yeah it’s literally an actual plot point that the Earth spent years marinating in mana specifically so that the battles with the monarchs didn’t destroy it.
ImagineShinker
Warframe is one of my favorite sci-fi settings because despite the copious amounts of space magic and impossible tech, humanity never actually colonized anything beyond the solar system. Their one attempt to spread to the closest system resulted in the catastrophic collapse of their empire. There are no actual aliens. Everything you encounter is just human, post-human, or a horror that humans created.
At least that’s how it was last I played. It’s been years.
ImagineShinker
How many times does it need to be said that a character being in a tier doesn’t mean they won’t still demolish content. It just means that there’s someone better enough relative to them to warrant them being moved down. They didn’t get worse, the ceiling just got higher. It literally says in the screenshot that she’s still a meta character.
Will she be powecrept eventually? Yeah. Has it happened yet? No.
People need to chill about this.

This was when I was living in a cold place outside Japan, but I really experienced that apartment thing you talked about. Sub zero temperatures the whole of winter, but I sometimes could be totally warm even without the heat in my unit on because I was in a very well insulated room without a balcony and everyone above, below and around me was radiating heat. Also helped that the building was very new and nice.
Man I miss that apartment…
ImagineShinker
I think you’re missing the point of why I asked the question I did. I’m aware that a Titania deck built for combo has plenty of ways of generating infinite mana.
ImagineShinker
Have you tried doing what it says?

Bro why are you replying to a 6 year old comment.
