I mean i can think of a few examples in my recent conversations but I dont tend to put personal conversations online, especially ones which someone may identify.
Not sure why you're being quite so aggressive, did my comment hit a nerve there buddy?

Greece was not a country when the Elgin Marbles were made and the current government has no continuous authority from the time of ancient Athens either.
And your point entirely ignores Britians role in ensuring they made it to the present day. Without British intervention there is a possibility they'd have been destroyed.
Imperito
Yeah but as i said, i think the majority of people feel that penalty was pathetic back in 08, with the benefit of hindsight

4 of the 5 were criminals who knowingly put the lives of everyone else in danger. Fuck em.
The only shame of it is, they hit two innocent people and not a tree.
Imperito
Absolutely. Things can always be worse.

This quote doesn't specifically relate to Gollum, even though he said it whilst discussing him.

Look, I am of the view that wars are generally started by the wealthy elites and ultimately end up benefiting them more than anyone else. However if you're Ukraine or France during the wars for example, fighting for the survival of your home land is not just about defending the elites in your nation.
What do you think happens to many people who get their villages, towns, cities occupied? Have you been paying attention to history and recent events? I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong to force people to fight, but you're also defending the innocent people of your nation who the invader wishes to harm and oppress.
Look what the Germans did to Soviet women and children for example during their march to Moscow. Were the Soviets just massive cucks for fighting? Had they not stood up for themselves, they would have been literally eradicated by now.
Choosing not to fight does not necessarily mean someone won't choose to fight you anyway.

Lmao, you're delusional

It's not actually that hard, my family has traced roots back on different sides of the family to the 1600s, 1800s, it isn't impossible - it gets a bit harder once you have to go to a foreign country to look further back, which probably many people eventually encounter, we certainly did.

And to be quite fair to Russell, is he wrong about Max overreacting? He assaulted Ocon in Brazil in 2017? 2018? I forget exactly. Then he hit Russell on purpose in Spain last year and his childish antics probably cost him the title - a topic which he actively refused to speak about.
I like Max, he's probably my favourite, but I don't think Russell is wrong about him entirely.
Imperito
Lol, cope

You make a good point, and it is a little odd that the pair of them, despite being two of the best of the last 4 years have suddenly struggled more. Time will tell. It's also odd that Kimi has suddenly just clicked over one off-season, considering he was not that close to George last year, which to me suggests there could be something in your point. We saw Norris struggle against Piastri last year before they made some upgrades which helped him out a little, not to quite the same degree mind you.
It's just hilarious, 8-9 races into a brand new rule set and suddenly Russell is the worst thing ever, and he gets no benefit of the doubt that perhaps he's just taking some time to fully adapt. It may be that in this ruleset, he is not quite as good as the GE era, that's fine, but implying he's therefore always been of that quality is really disingenuous and the facts just don't back it up. Someone else said he was 4th for points across that GE era, which is quite impressive considering his machinery. It's the same with Leclerc I feel, he's had struggles this year but he's still an absolutely top tier driver in my opinion, I would give him time to adapt before I would consider changing my view on that one. I can't decide if losing to Lewis is better or worse in some ways, simply because it's Lewis fucking Hamilton, but equally some will say, well it's 40+ year old Lewis versus prime Leclerc, shouldn't a prime Leclerc have the edge? Too early to draw any massive conclusions, but it will be fascinating to see that one play out.
Antonelli could also just be an absolute monster, if he has 5 or 6 titles in his career and establishes himself in the next 2 or 3 years as the next Verstappen, I think people will change their view on this season a little bit from Russell being sub-par, to Kimi just being a GOAT, or maybe somewhere in between. Kind of how Alonso's 2007 looks kinder with the benefit of hindsight, although still not a great look of course. If Hamilton had gone on to have a decent career and picked up a title but never really lit the world up, Alonso's reputation would take a bigger hit.

That's not entitlement though? The context of that quote was after the decision was made not to pit during the rain at Zandvoort, it ended up lasting longer than Merc expected and as a result he lost out massively. He was just expressing to the team that internally they'd been aiming at a podium, and he was miffed at how that opportunity had slipped away.
People just read into these quotes whatever they want, regardless of whether it is true. There's no arrogance or entitlement to express disappointment at losing out on the chance of a podium, they likely had been forecasting a podium internally at their team meetings, forecasting does not mean anything other than expecting that they'd have the pace to achieve it, all things being equal. It doesn't mean he was promised one or some other shit.
Why is this always the quote people pull out, and not him telling his team in Hungary at Williams that he would sacrifice his own race to help Latifi score points? Oh right, it does not fit the narrative does it. It's like seeing the bullshit that got aimed at Seb 15-20 years ago all over again.
Go read his interview after the race: https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1034319/1/russell-explains-how-did-we-mess-radio-complaint

Just hilarious how you can hate a country but support one of its most prolific institutions.
Whatever, it's pretty funny to live rent free in so many people's heads. Supporting England these past few years has been extra sweet when you know every time we do well theres a meltdown online.

To be clear, I'm not in support of mass private landlords, but I'm not so sure that housing would still be built on the same scale if private investors/private landlords were no longer able to buy them. Some people just are not in any position to afford to buy a house and they won't suddenly be able to do so just because private landlords are gone. Houses do cost a certain amount to build, after all. House builders are already lowering numbers and shelving schemes that are financially no longer viable as it is.

You people are honestly exhausting

He's living rent free in your head lmao

You must be insufferable

Okay Ivan

Oh so you are a Russian troll kind of person, got it.
Did you miss the part where Russell is widely unpopular even among British fans? Reddit has done nothing but hate the guy all the year
