Not being able to clear lanes in low-MMR is my biggest fear. Most players just don't understand how XP works, and my eye starts twitching when I look at the mini-map and I see minions consistently hitting towers with no one to collect the XP.

In low-MMR as a tank, I'm guessing you just have to ignore laning and find the other players who want to deathball with you, and then hope that getting kills is enough to make up for lost XP elsewhere. Obviously, you're better off if everyone lanes appropriately, but you can't control that.

If you're stuck with players who want to do their own thing and ignore lanes and XP, then you're doubly screwed.

I've never noticed this before but now that you've pointed it out I'm on a mission to downvote every single comment like this 🫡

Is it just me, or is the max quality on this trailer 480p?

InTheThroesOfWay

I dunno, man. I don't play WoW, so I don't know her lore. But just seeing her in HOTS holding that T-Pose like a bugged out NPC, then flapping her arms like Grandma on the dancefloor at your cousin's wedding. It just doesn't scream polish to me.

InTheThroesOfWay

Her animations are significantly less polished than other heroes. She just holds a T-pose and flaps her arms. Compare that to another mage like Kael'Thas, whose movements are much more intricate and varying.

InTheThroesOfWay

They need to hire an animator so she can do a little bit more than T-pose and arm flap.

I think the content has to be available when you received the chest in order to have a chance of getting that content from the chest.

There's no captions in the mobile app. Or at least it's not obvious how to show them.

InTheThroesOfWay

I'm on mobile right now, so maybe I'm missing something, but which one's which?

Owl and cat hybrids are real, and it is well known that they like emo. So this is obviously real.

InTheThroesOfWay

Doom Guy and Master Chief together doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They're both visually similar, and Raynor is going to be visually similar as well. If real (I doubt it) then it could just be skins for Raynor.

I thought I was looking at a shitty AI version of Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannsen in CA2:TWS.

InTheThroesOfWay

I was thinking the same thing. It could be a mostly real video with some AI or VFX added on top.

InTheThroesOfWay

It's in the public domain, so the there's really nothing stopping anyone from trying again.

InTheThroesOfWay

It's AI.

That account isn't labeled as AI, but there are other accounts posting similar AI content, clearly labeled as AI: example

Thanks, I have that song stuck in my head now.

I got this ad the other day. It was the lamest shit imaginable.

You sometimes get little animations for holidays. The car's screen says something like, "We have something special for you!" And you click on it and it's cute and inoffensive, showing a car driving through fourth of July fireworks or whatever. So that's what I thought this was.

And then I just got this shitty ad with awful effects instead. I literally said at loud, "That was pretty lame."

InTheThroesOfWay

The exact opposite is true. Chubby mid-looking charming guys pull way more than socially awkward hunks.

Cleric is awesome even with Shadowheart's terrible default build.

Cast Bless in big fights. Use Sanctuary to protect allies (as a bonus action!). Use healing word to pick up downed allies (also as a bonus action!).

Don't go into melee unless you have to. Use a crossbow or a ranged cantrip to damage -- whichever has the highest chance to hit.

When you Level up you get lots of great utility spells. And you get spirit guardians, one of the best spells in the game.

And like I said, this is all without changing her terrible default build. She gets even better when you give her a better build.

InTheThroesOfWay

This is AI, and yes AI is this good nowadays.

A popular creator, Nostromocore, does these kinds of videos with the JD Vance meme. The movement, reflections, shadows, and background are immaculate. But obviously, it's fake.

I'm new to Elden Ring. I feel like there are a lot of unintuitive things about the game that most of the fans don't talk about. But it's overall very fun and engaging once you get into it.

The number one unintuitive thing about the game is the rolling mechanic. It took me a while to realize that it didn't matter which way I rolled. It only mattered that I timed the roll correctly for the i-frames. It kind of turns the game into a rhythm game. Most other games will want you to roll in a certain direction to avoid attacks. And yeah, positioning and rolling direction matters to avoid follow-up attacks, but the most important thing about rolling is to time it correctly for the i-frames.

The other unintuitive thing is the importance of vigor. Most other games in this genre prioritize damage stats instead of health stats. So if you have those biases, the Elden Ring system doesn't make much sense.

Look up Gloomstomper on Instagram. He uses AI to produce cartoons that are similar in quality to this. I suspect that the same tool was used for this, although I don't know what Gloomstomper uses.

So yes, AI is capable of doing this level of quality now. Kind of scary.

That was Witcher 2, not 3. And it was only 7 years later.

InTheThroesOfWay

I think they meant Witcher 2, and it was less than a decade later.

The stilted delivery with exaggerated mouth and head movements are making me suspicious.

Also, this is kind of an awkward selfie angle. She has her arm extended into the driver's side window. I don't know if this angle actually works in the physical constraints of a car.

Finally, the speech itself. It's too straight to the point. Instead of, "Hey, it's Melissa, I like dancing and Chinese food," it's "Hey, it's Melissa, I can meet you."
