Nice shots, Thanks for sharing. I saw it a few times earlier in Leander.

Atlanta has the highest concentration of awesome rinks - Cascade, Sparkles Smyrna, Stone Mountain. Guptill's just outside of Albany NY is the largest in the world and worth the visit. The Oaks in Portland is gorgeous. Humbled to see my home rink, Playland in Austin TX, mentioned (Tuesday is adult night and the best time to visit). Houston and Dallas each have multiple rinks worth visiting.

It would depend on where the company you bought them from are located and the type of shipping you paid for. The vendor you bought from would be the best source to give an estimate.

I broke my ankle while roller skating by landing a jump on one of these 😵💫

I'm a very experienced skater and folks think that I am crazy rolling on a similar surface in 96A wheels so I suspect that there's a different issue causing your concerns. Have you adjusted your trucks to be looser? Are your bearings in these wheels clean and roll freely?

It might be wise to protect your tail bone with crash pants. Despite 50 years of skating I use Rippl Impact Gear ones when I am working on new moves (or my sliders).

Having lost over 90 pounds because of skating my best advice is to make a small investment in a smart scale to get the best picture of your body's composition. Simply put, I'm in the best shape of my life and have more muscle mass than I used to weigh at my thinnest.

You're not crazy to rekindle your affair with the hardwood 💯 I started on ice as a kid and moved to roller skating around 11 yo but rekindled my affair with the hardwood at 47 for the fitness benefits and will be at the rink tonight, closing in on turning 60. Don't forget to invest in PPE, we don't heal as quickly at this age.

I was surprised to see one in the wild (and for sale in the pro shop) when I visited Guptill's. First and only time in 50+ years of skating.

LMAO the post above this one in my feed is on the same subject 🤣 https://www.reddit.com/r/FuckImOld/s/799TIDMjAb

The hard shell of blades certainly does provide good support to avoid breaking an ankle; figure skate boots such as the ones I use, do too.

I broke my ankle on roller skates many years ago, don't be afraid to give it another try.

Amazingly my cell phone DID work so I shared it with those with me on the first train out of Penn Station, including a dust covered volunteer firefighter chief who marshalled his house to respond to the fallen towers.
So common at this store that it's notable when I don't see one or more when I visit.
