Yeah, but that doesn't help with the cutscenes or other Bandai-Namco games that do it (Square is also pretty freaking notorious for it). The PS4 let you turn the message off but the PS5 doesn't. So lame.

100% and that was messed too. It's only more problematic now that ai can do it easier and faster than ever.

Does copyright apply same way for Japanese IPs?

I was literally giving the most prominent example for perspective as to why being replaced sucks, which I can imagine you know very well. What job did you lose?

Think of it more like this: Deepfakes are being made of good and innocent people making them say and do things that they didn't actually do and say (including things in the perverted and extreme). Now we can't really get upset or expect protections to be made for these people and then turn right around and make the same kinda stuff for bad people (even if they do very much deserve it).

I think its like this: Imagine you come up with a brand new, never before seen game mechanic and it's the big selling point of your game. You release a demo. The Ai bros grab your demo, Ai it up and release a bunch of clones featuring your game mechanic before you get your actual game out. Now when you finally release your game, your mechanic isn't new and special anymore. What's worse, people that didn't know about your game prior might think that it's just another one of these slop games featuring said mechanic and pass on it, never knowing you were the inventor.
