Probably safer to drive with no gas if you have bad vision.

My understanding is that most medical schools make an criminal record check and vulnerable sector check as a condition of admittance.

Hard to believe that he outgunned everyone else in that pathway. FWIW, I completely support having a specific pathway, looking at nontraditional paths to law school and increasing Indigenous representation. There are lots of super smart candidates out there. I just think this was a complete failure of critical thinking.

Agree. Would really love to hear someone try to make the case. To apparently actually believe that participation in a professional program should be an option available to anyone no matter what crimes they’ve done, because they happen to belong to a historically wronged group, is utterly stupefying to me. I think it brings disrepute to the program, the university and the profession.

What I found astonishing was the assertion that university professional programs in this country don’t do criminal record checks. Medicine sure as hell does... and not just at the application stage but annually once qualified throughout licensure… If Law doesn’t, why not?

Me too! Only the kid was called Precious Angel and Preshy for short. 🥴

Uh huh. You know your neighbour’s age? Why would you? And why is that even relevant to the story? And a whole bunch of your other neighbours know your phone number and are also blowing it up with what would be absurdly unlikely agreement with your cat abusing neighbour? Sure.
AI karma farming is stupid.

Fun Fact: I’ve now read three versions of this BS story in the past 5 minutes!
IntroductionSuch5515
This repetitive BS is so boring.

How did it go?
IntroductionSuch5515
Barked ‘WHERE’S THE COFFEE?’ like a despotic major general. I mean, maybe start by asking nicely?
(But reading these, I realize I’ve had it pretty easy!)

What is happening?!

Yeah, 100%. This comment hit me unexpectedly hard. When I was about 4-5, an aunt gave me a white china nightlight with a design of strawberries. I was completely enchanted by it. I turned it on and off over and over and over… until I miscalculated and it somehow fell off the bedside table and smashed. My mother responded with a lot of anger. I still remember how alone and sad I felt. I later had to tell my aunt how much I liked it without telling her it was broken, which felt horrible too.
Bottom line: punishing a child who has just experienced a mistake teaches the child that they’re blameworthy and bad on top of the natural consequences of the mistake itself.
