A huge component is a decline in teen pregnancy. And yes, women putting off pregnancy later, but also being able to stop when they don’t want more kids. We’re living in like the only time in history where a huge population of women can decide whether or not to even have children, can wait until they want to start, and stop when they’re done. This is a good thing! So much birth rate panic is anti feminist, even on the left.

I have 2 kids and can say honestly say given infinite time and money I would still only want 2. No interest in going over replacement rate here.

My daughter had the best preschool teacher last year. Now she’s in school but we still talk about her old teacher and visit whenever we can (other child is still in preschool). She’s such a special person and our whole family loves her. All of our daycare teachers have been good, but there are a few that really stick out and as parents we remember and appreciate them forever.
