I think the same thing that always happens will happen - they will come back near the end and boost each other after someone has the resil in their guild / party

I think Details / the damage meter has an option to show you “avoidable damage taken” you want to review that at least at the end of the dungeon / between pulls to understand what you were taking and aim to reduce that

You also want to look at where it got hairy and whether you could have used a defensive before the big aoe damage

Also worth asking the healer what he noticed at the end of the dungeon in terms of your defensive usage

Think as well about whether you were ever pulling threat and making it hard for the tank to group and consider whether you waited enough

Also on the Details damage meter, look at your interrupts and aim to have that as high as possible and compare it to others etc your stuns aren’t on there but just be conscious of those as well

Then you want to look at logs and compare your APM to others, and if your melee, look at your melee uptime; how often were you stood too far away to hit the mobs and get that passive damage or procs

Mostly mental illness; partially to bank stand and flex 😎

I think you just have to play

There’s GREAT videos on what comes up in a dungeon and how you should think about handling it and you’ll fairly quickly notice the patterns of “these are my combos / options for this TYPE of event”

But you’ll fly through early keys, then you will hit a wall and be holding cooldowns for scary events, and you’ll over hold them and people will die, then the Cd management will click and you’ll progress further; then you will hit another wall of “okay, I can’t just send on CD, I have to plan for this event”.

Then you’ll hit a break even of being with bad players that screw your plan by taking avoidable damage and that’s a whole different story

Then you break ahead of “the pack” into keys were people are good

It’s a hard journey of having to do much more research than dps imo but really only playing it and learning as you go is all you can do!

Don’t be afraid to not let your dps put you in a too high a key before your ready I suppose, because it’s hard to learn when there’s zero margin for error

Edit: doing TW is ‘valuable’ in a sense but I don’t think anything will be truely threatening and overall much less useful for you to learn how to “properly” play - imo TW is a brute force experience that doesn’t really reflect actual gameplay

You’re certainly going to have an easier time learning with good players / friends - I do think that that is a good way to learn and not get demotivated if that’s possible for you

Yea that’s what I thought when looking at the specs, there’s just no way I can see it playing it well at all; especially in group content haha

As someone that hates Mac, I’d consider myself unbiased in saying that Mac isn’t nearly as limiting as it used to be and almost everything relevant is compatible

That said, it won’t cope well for WoW forever, you’ll probably be able to quest and everything okay - probably will be a better choice if you plan to use it mostly for other stuff like movies and work but for wow it’ll be a struggling for even storage I think

I mean, you can watch a YouTube video playthrough of all of them and read wowhead for what everything does, it normally talks about bosses and dangerous mobs first

Wow is CPU heavy so focus on that

I’d change that as well I think, I think my biggest limiter is the Ram

I have DDR4 and the price of DDR5 means I almost may as well buy a new Pc completely, so I don’t know if I buy a Razen 7 x3D and motherboard for maybe 400-500gbp or just call it a day

I used to be able to run the settings so much higher though but since the last two expansions it’s go progressively worse :/

So I’m keen to upgrade something - sounds like AMD isn’t the way though - so I’ll stick to looking at i9 - I think my ram is DDR4 though so I guess ultra is actually out of the question in general
