Lobbying against halal meat, having political parties built on Anti-Muslim sentiment primarily supported by a single demographic, lobbying against building of mosques and the constant calls of curbing the growth of Islam would make the average person feel like there are those actively working against them.

It's not unreasonable when there is such galvanised hatred coming from across the UK towards Muslims, carefully nurtured by articles not unlike this.

There have been numerous protests in the UK, almost all of which devolve into some sort violence and massive riots in Northern Ireland as a reaction to a black man stabbing a white man which the media sensationalised to be an "attempted beheading" which was clear ISIS-coded language enough to send supremacists into a frenzy.

These people saw the BLM riots of 2020 and galvanised in punishing every minority since.
