I don't know. I realize now I will never receive closure, and I have to accept that. It hurts. It's horrible. I'll wake up in the middle of the night, feeling sort of okay, then I'll remember she exists and my stomach just drops and I get this empty, black feeling in the bottom of my soul. To know someone can just throw you out for no reason and feel no remorse for it makes you feel worthless, useless, hopeless. . Like literal garbage. I wish I could bring myself to hate them for what they did to be, but really, i wish she would just call. Another victory for her, i guess.

Its_shoved

Yeah I'm pretty shot out, even now, from it..I sometimes wonder if they don't realize how their actions affect us or if they do know and it makes them feel good they can create such damage

Its_shoved

The worst is when they were terrible to you, but they split you black, so, clearly, you're the one who made them react that way and can't hide the disgust when they see or talk to you. The mental gymnastics and gaslighting are like the twilight zone. When it comes down to it, they can justify treating people awfully with no regard to the lasting trauma and permanence their actions inflict.

Been on the receiving end of this and is it's extraordinarily, almost supernaturally painful. When it was done to me it was overnight and I can almost feel the disgust radiating from them. They also turned incredibly cold and cruel. It was baffling to me how someone can ask you to move in with them and a week later not even be able to look at you when there were no real changes in the relationship. We were in a situation where we had to see eachother occasionally and I had to remove myseld from the situation. It was too painful to be around her. Especially when she started the process with another guy right in front of me. Its a good thing that you're aware of it...and I can understand that it's not something you can control. Can you use restraint when you know that the inevitable discard is coming? Or not put yourself in a situation where this could happen again? I think boundaries are probably the answer. That and therapy

My friend(bpd) had a similar feeling about our relationship. When we first started talking, I would send her these silly thoughtful messages and tell her stories..as the relationship progressed, and we got to know each other more, our text conversations, etc. Became a bit more sterile.

From my point of view, it was her that was pulling away, so I sort of matched that energy for lack of a better word. I thought that was the relationship she was comfortable with and wanted, and I didn't want to act "extra" or be too abrasive. In reality, there were many times when I wanted to do or say something but didn't because I was embarrassed or afraid she would think less of me for it. I'd also go a couple of days without calling because I thought that's what she wanted, and I would be bothering her. I hated the days we didn't talk.

A little while after this, she asked me why I never do these things anymore and that she missed it and the way we used to be. She also was upset on the days we didn't speak and never wanted it that way. It kind of caught me off guard. I had no idea she felt that way. (Thought the opposite, actually) Anyway, she ended up splitting on me, and I miss her dearly.. I see her at work sometimes and can tell she's disgusted to see me. I hate it more than anything.

The point of this dumb story is, have you tried expressing this to your person? Or is it possible they think that's what you want?

Its_shoved

Damn. That's unfortunate. I think I had a friend who split like this on me. It's really unfortunate because we were great friends and helped each other heal through certain points in our lives. I always want to figure out some way to reconnect, but if it's a situation like this, it probably isn't healthy for either of us. I do still have to see them occasionally at work. Any advice on the best way to go about interacting with them? To minimize emotional stress on both parties.

I wasn't?

Personally, as a white guy, I'm far more attracted to Middle Eastern women than I am white girls. I also prefer short over tall.. Be proud of who you are. That quality alone makes you so much more attractive to everyone.

Its_shoved

I'm open to talking to someone. I have issues of my own i would like to express and I think two strangers connecting can be a good thing sometimes. Dm me if you'd like

"Maybe people with BPD aren't as terrible as they're so fond of stigmatizing? Maybe we're much purer and always see people for the first time way better than they turn out to be?"

I understand, but this is an incredibly unfair standard, and the way you subconsciously treat them when they can't live up to an impossible idealization that you projected onto them is harmful to both parties.

You mean men as a whole ? Because no. Creepy psychotic stalkers? I would say “It’s a bingo!”

Its_shoved

I’m obviously messing with you because you use words you heard other people say and then try and pass it off using. It incorrectly because you’re a neck beard trying to come off a certain way when I can bet my life on it that you’re an Incel gamer irl 🤷🏻

Its_shoved

I didn’t read anything past the the first couple sentences, bud. The way you type just screams neck beard…as a matter of fact, I’m convinced I’m talking to the actual fedora, neck beard, m’lady, meme guy. So long

Substance abuse is an extremely difficult issue to deal with and it takes a dedicated family operating as a team to have the best chance. A lot of the language you’re using is telling that you may not be invested/informed about mental health and how it can impact a person or family. If you want to help your wife it’s something you would need to take an active (maybe lead) role in

Its_shoved

Exactly what I was thinking. The last few sentences here are very telling of the way OP thinks. Also, what does TITLES mean? I might be wrong but does OP mean she has male management and can’t break a glass ceiling or is he saying that she would make a terrible boss for men? Seems like that would be really undermining in a coparenting position. It really sounds like this person hasn’t wanted to be around his spouse for a while and is looking to Reddit to confirm this. Do you go out of your way to do this with mutual friends? Are you making life hard for her?

Also, what’s going on with Maitlynn? I’ll trade you Kelly’s entire brain and at least three Steves just to have Maitlynn on the air like once a week. Doesn’t even have to be the whole show
