If you are deciding between the U12A and the original D15 keep the U12A. The performance difference isn’t big enough in my opinion.
If you mean the D15 G2 then the G2 would be with the upgrade.
IzzyDeeee
Yes these would fit in the screw holes of the bottom fans.
You just pull these through and cut the excess, if you want.
IzzyDeeee
For the ram there are adapters from SO-DIMM to DIMM. This way you can use it on a desktop
Not sure what performance is like but I’ve seen it done.
IzzyDeeee
Honestly with those specs go with whichever you like most.
I like the round fans of the A14r G2, but if you don't and want the fans flush with the cooler the A12 G2s would work just fine.
Less clearance issues for the A12 G2 if you decide to swap cases and/or carry the cooler and fans through multiple builds.
I have the A14r fans now as my cooler is now a NH-D15 G2 and its great, but if the A12 G2 were out in black when I moved from my PS120 Evo that would've been the easier choice.
IzzyDeeee
Depends on the case and ram height.
If you have enough space you can get the A14-25 G2 Round, or the A12x25 G2.
Both of those have the same mounting hole positions, and either should fit on the PS120.

👁️ Surveillance State: I voted No.

Windows 11 should only take like 25-35GB for a fresh install. So you are going to be good for a while.
IzzyDeeee
That motherboard has 1 heatsink for the top M.2 so you're good there. If you add more then get them with heatsinks or just buy a cheap one on Amazon.

CoolerControl will let you run fans based off the GPU temps without having to mess with BIOS settings.
I prefer a curve that way when it’s not running full blast you don’t have that noise all the time.
IzzyDeeee
They come in EPUB files so your best bet would to use the send to kindle feature.
You can upload the files to Amazon and it'll send them or you can see what your Kindle email address is and send it that way.

Please update with some temps if you do.
Was thinking about getting one of these for my 9950x3d if i get back into watercooling.
IzzyDeeee
I have a 9950X3D and I use a noctua Nh-d15 g2.
I don’t stream or render, but I use Gentoo Linux and compile about 95% of my software and my air cooler held up fine. I think it was about 3 hours of compiling to get a base desktop. For me that was a base system of KDE, Emacs and Firefox.
I think any 360mm AIO should perform better than my air cooler in regards to temps. After my undervolting my CPU maxed at 78 degrees during this time. An AIO should probably be 3 degrees or more cooler than that as a best guess.
Just get one that you like the look of. If my air cooler can keep it under 80 degrees during a 3 hour long compilation task then you should be fine with any AIO. Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 is recommended often.

Skald is for sure worth playing if you are missing some pieces of this bundle.
Torment Tides of Numeria has been on my wishlist, along with Gamdec, and Underrail
Good looking bundle imo.

I got a 9060 XT 16gb at $370 from my local Microcenter in February and even that feels like the last boat off the titanic

If it’s hard to maintain, or an update to Emacs removed the need for a package then you should change it I think.
For instance with Emacs 31 I don’t need the treesit-auto package anymore since it will install treesitter modes automatically now. With the new completion pop up window I won’t need Company anymore either.
That’s how I prefer it. I try to use the builtins tools when I can and install a package when necessary.
IzzyDeeee
It’s crazy honestly
I got a 64GB ddr5 kit earlier this year for roughly $600 and last I looked the same kit is now over $1000.
Tempted to sell and just deal with 32gb and pocket the rest tbh.

Is it the music of EF that doesn’t attract yall?
There is Lost Lands in Ohio but if EF doesn’t interest then I doubt Lost Lands will.
IzzyDeeee
I would go for the Phantom Spirit. It cooled my 9950x3d just fine, so it is overkill but that is nice if you decide to upgrade the CPU down the line. And it will probably be cheaper than a U-12A
IzzyDeeee
I completely get it.
Some people who make acrylic cases should be able to slim them down. It would still be a custom order so it would probably cost a bit unfortunately.
AFS does make slim cases, but they are still rather tall as they have 24mm buttons on the front of the case, and of course the neutrik connectors are also pretty large.
Not sure if they can make one that is leverless, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

StarCraft. Brood War or 2.
Both are great
Fighting games are also excellent. A lot of mind games once you get to the higher levels. Poking and prodding for openings and exploiting weaknesses. Typically I only play Street Fighter 6 these days, but it applies to all of them.
IzzyDeeee
You would need custom. I can’t recall any that do this premade
Look at AllFightSticks. They have a panel called the NeoEX that can be this layout.
Quality is great. Got my hit box from there using a Shiokenstar layout in 2017 I believe.
IzzyDeeee
9070XT. It’s similar to a 5070ti in performance but costs anywhere from $200-$300 less.
IzzyDeeee
Yeah it'll probably go up more.
OP is right, all of 2027 DRAM and HBM is sold out already.
I got 64gb for about $700 earlier this year and if it crosses 1K I may sell for 32gb.
IzzyDeeee
With the pixel density of 4K at 27 inches i imagine even DLSS Performance would look good.
Look for reviews/information on that and then decide on the monitor.
If you are ok with that then I’d just swap the fans to the G2 A12 fans. Noctua fans sound nicer than Corsair fans, in the opinion of someone with limited experience with Corsair fans.
