We grew up together playing Amiga games like Stunt Car Racer. Making this now, what do you think? (self.pcgaming)

there's pitch, roll, up, down and a boost 'modifier' (hold it + gas or brake or steering to affect those). D-pad wouldn't be ideal, but there's some Dailies that are specifically no-rcs and we're thinking of adding some no-rcs series too for wheel users.

JayExbleative

maybe if the game really blows up - it's not a small thing to add.

JayExbleative

there's some wide open areas, and some you can barely fit through (dense rock fields and forests) and a bunch in between

JayExbleative

there's asyc multi rally/series support, no side-by-side tho

JayExbleative

we support them - you'll just also need something to control the rcs with as well. Some people use a joystick, others get along ok with wheel buttons/thumb sticks.

JayExbleative

Yes to FF, no to VR

JayExbleative

Yup, think we support almost all control methods

JayExbleative

think I've seen someone triple screening on the Discord. Force feedback yes. Motion rigs I'm afraid I just don't know how those hook up to any sim so probably not!

JayExbleative

great to hear this!

JayExbleative

it's actually a mix - the series events are completely hand authored stage designs on top of authored terrain. The dailies and online stages are procedurally generated, and even those chain together part proc-gen part 'authored sections' of stages.

JayExbleative

we support most (all??) controller types - you'll need to be able to control rcs thrusters as well which is a bit trickier for wheel users.

JayExbleative

Yep we support wheels and force feedback. You'll need to simultaneously control rcs thrusters as well somehow. Some wheels are better than others for this, but its definitely hard mode vs using a controller. We're thinking of doing a few series that have no thrusters for wheel peeps if there's enough interest.

JayExbleative

we had one and it got a bit out of date, we'll seriously think about bringing it back

JayExbleative

it does! The tricky thing with a wheel for this game is you'll also need to use rcs thrusters (unless you 'main' the no-rcs daily events)

JayExbleative

there's force feedback yep, we're thinking of doing a few series as well that don't require any rcs thrusters, specifically for wheel users

JayExbleative

you've got full control - pitch, roll, yaw + vertical up/dn + forward boost/brake

JayExbleative

Yep, we have a date confirmed now, announcement coming next month!

JayExbleative

there's a chance I might, but it wouldn't be for quite a few years down the road.

JayExbleative

It is sometime soon-ish!

JayExbleative

Should be within a month or two hopefully

JayExbleative

'Cross platform'? Really? haha, that's epic!

WRC. Me and a mate sat at my PC/Wheel and ran the same Kenyan stage in time trial for over an hour, competing against each other. Pretty fun! He managed to get a top 50 time which I believe is quite good hah
