Not implementing it at all and going "oh well, sucks to suck" is one option.
Another would have been to keep it in the same cell, but make wildly large edits to the otherwise vanilla-based cell, causing issues with any other mods that would affect the Bards College. Just off the top of my head I believe there's more floors to the BCE College?
Because this is meant as a replacer and expansion to the College, rather than "Here's The Solitude Group of Musicians" or something - not doing changes to that cell would have involved, well, it not being about the Bards College.
Jetamo
Eh, that seems like false equivalence.
If they wanted to do massive sweeping changes while at least leaving some semblance of a way to access the old cells - for example in cases where nobody does a patch for it because it's a paid mod - I think there's worse options. It's messier, sure, but it's not as bad as your stated example IMO.

You managed to figure out a way to fix it, doesn't mean you should recommend people to do it. Plus, who knows if you won't run into new issues down the road?
Jetamo
You deleted a mod mid playthrough. You did just delete the mod.
Listen, this isn't a semantics thing, when people say "don't delete a mod mid playthrough" they don't mean "oh but you can do it if it's not working properly", they mean don't do it at all.

My point was more "when the physical copy is just a voucher in a box, why would I buy physical".
Jetamo
Willingly is a strong word, there. I'd still be getting physical PC games if it wasn't for the fact they gave up including any of the game on the disc, instead just having a Steam-or-equivalent installer.

From what I can tell; a server they were essentially helping host got shut down, so the suspension of their... idk, server hosting privileges? Got applied to them as well as the server they were helping
Sounds like a caught in the crossfire situation.

Also posts on their Youtube channel's "community", I often see posts from them pop up.

I don't have a horse in this race - Skyrim RP isn't my cup of tea - but some of this really comes off as "I got banned so I'm going to write some egregious stuff and nobody will call me out on it."
Surely if;
He met a man on server 2 in Bleak Falls Barrow, he had very special cloaks apparently with a scribe that was blind and wouldn't talk, after an interaction this cloaked man teleported the 3 to the Thalmor Embassy, my friend attended a meeting and as soon as it was done the guy said to my buddy "we don't do that *** RP stuff around here, now grab a beer and let's shoot the shit". The next day he was getting discord messages about how to farm gold by manipulating real characters and somehow for X amount of gold they'd pay you a small amount of USD per hr through the Thalmor directly, basically a huge scam and to pay say even 4-5 bucks an hr like I was told you could do tells me the money pit goes deep and needs to be investigated imo.
If all this was true, how come there haven't been any clips about it? Why didn't "your friend" clip any of this stuff?

Specifically, Imgur is blocking the UK because they didn't want to account for our recent "prove your age via face scan/other verification methods" laws.
Jetamo
this is meant to be a place for modding MineCraft, a fun and light-hearted game.
Listen, don't take this the wrong way - but starting to use "it's just a silly buildy crafty survival game!" is... a worrying development. At the end of the day, relying on that train of thought is, unfortunately, a surefire way to alienate more and more people.
Subject matter of the community shouldn't matter when it comes to moderation and hot issues.
Jetamo
Wait till you hear about the guy behind Garry's Mod.
Jetamo
...Brother, no need to be so hostile. You were speaking generally, so I answered generally. "please don't ever RP" isn't the same as "please don't ever RP on ChaseRP".
Jetamo
Eh, different servers can have different standards for fail-RP. What you just mentioned as a example (car jumps) is infact failRP on some servers. NVL, in fact.
Jetamo
It's not, but it sure as hell paints a target on your back in neon colours.
Jetamo
Oh brother. Listen, many of the skillsets used for mod development in FiveM are identical to that of game development. This is akin to walking into a hospital, looking at a passing janitor, and declaring that none of the doctors know anything.
Your bait is subpar and is clearly being written by someone who is so beyond clueless of game development that you probably subscribe to the AI models that "generate" Dark Souls 4 live.
Next time, apply yourself, maybe learn a bit more about the mere concept you're trying to piss off a high horse on to first, before you look like a buffoon.
Jetamo
Eh, wouldn't say Reddit is centered around anonymity. This isn't 4chan.
Jetamo
No-one asked for you to give us an update on Aaron's adminship, yet here we are. The "gotcha!" doesn't work when it can just as easily apply to you, my guy.
Jetamo
Congrats, you got me to respond. My dude in christ. Stop trying to win the "IM ONLY STATING FACTS" argument.

I've had a hunch they were doing this ever since they announced that the Heist was time-limited. They had repeatedly said they knew Adventures was the wrong move, so I figured they had to be moving somewhere with it.
Jetamo
Brother, it's not a "narrative". Arena wasn't popular.

Hi, guy who's played Guild Wars 2 since launch and WoW since late Mists of Pandaria here.
Raids in WoW for the longest time were designed around people having add-ons. It's only recently that they're actually changing their tune.
Oh I think I figured it out for at least LWS3 and 4. I don't believe you can make a DLC on steam require another DLC to be owned before purchasing it. So as LWS3 requires HoT and 4 needs PoF they could get in a pickle with someone owning a LWS but not an expansion.
