The roads we drive on are meant to be shared. Speeding is selfishly putting priority on your vehicle over everyone else's. Other drivers have to be more aware of an inherently more dangerous vehicle coming around them. Once they're past me, you can say they're no longer my problem but that's only because the problem gets passed onto someone else - the problem itself still exists.

Well then why teach the kid who failed the 8th grade? They won’t learn anything, and they’re a disruption to the class. Why should doctors try to save a patient who shot themselves with a shotgun? Just leave them to die, there are other patients that need tending. Why help the homeless? They had time to help themselves, anything we’d do is wasted.

Idk, maybe helping people in dire needs is just what people fucking do. The student thanks the few teachers who actually stayed with them instead of giving up like the others. The patient is thankful for the miraculous work the doctors did. A homeless person is crying because they just needed one break in their life to feel better about themselves. If there’s a 1 in a million chance of saving someone we fucking take it. That’s just the insane, illogical premise behind so many amazing stories.

When people get help they become better. Why deny them that chance?

Believing that someone cannot be rehabed is believing that people cannot be better. Every day we’re given a choice of being a better or worse person than we were yesterday. I think, if given the resources, everyone can be choose to be better person and work towards that. That’s rehabilitation. That’s the human spirit of overcoming challenges that we love to talk about. If people don’t want to believe in that, I think it goes against the idea that every historical event in history has been to improve humanity in some way.

Jokuki

That’s all fine. No one has to take in the opinion or history of someone else. Being a simple consumer and cog in the machine sounds boring though.

This is why I think drivers tailgating is a bigger issue than left lane campers. Tailgating affects everyone but the asshole sniffing every car’s nut sack.

And their vote counts just as much as yours.

I hate it when my tax money goes to killing people overseas yet here we are. Between the two, the death penalty goes against our 8th amendment (cruel and unusual punishments). If you want real solutions, elect people that use your tax money for rehabilitation and crime prevention. Crime punishments do not deter criminal behavior. If it did we'd solve it by now with the highest incarcerated population in the world.

Thank you! I love art history (as a hobby) because of how it can be a window into people's world at that time. Also seeing a timeline of inspirations and how the art we see today can be heavily influenced by the past is really fun too. In a way Hokusai's art inspired manga as a form of story telling. He even had a piece called "Demon Slayer"!

Fun fact, 1960s American rock band posters were heavily inspired by Czech painter Alphonse Mucha earlier works who died before WW2 even started. His work was rediscovered by a promoter and the rest is history.

No, because anyone in Gold would still lack the depth of game knowledge to actually win. Most augments wouldn’t be terribly game breaking either. The stacking ones are balanced on 5v5, having only one champion to stack against is terrible.

Even if they got Infernal Conduit Brand every game as a Brand OTP they’d either miss skill shots or die trying.

Maybe if they got extremely broken prismatics like Earthwake Ambessa/Riven or Samira Ult Amumu, every game, that would get them there. Most of the time it’s going to be something like ADapt or Donation.

People in Gold will get a 6/0 lead in lane and still lose the game off a throw. Ok every elo does this but my point still stands.

Pretty much. It’d be a very basic mash up of everything Japanese. It’d change the entire meaning but only to something that’s just aesthetically there imo. Which isn’t bad. Not all art needs to have a grand design or meaning (ie getting a flash just because you like it).

My local museum had a special exhibit on Hokusai’s work. It was surprisingly underwhelming (because I had the same conception it was a bigger piece/painting) yet beautiful. Even at that size the wave feels big without a grand canvas you’d normally see from Western work.

Gogma’s coffin CB looks like it’ll fit. Rompopolo with the hourglass would be cool too.

Artistically, to use Hokusai’s Great Wave off Kanegawa with the Land of Rising Sun together, is completely insane. Hokusai’s famous wave block print is a symbol of the end of Japan’s isolationism and opening their borders to international relationships. It’s only created as he sees how Europeans painted vast landscapes. Block prints were the original works for the masses, everyday people. It allowed people to welcome all kinds of art into their home as it could be mass produced, much like the printing press did for literacy.

To combine that with a heavy Imperial, violent symbol like that, is antithetical to original piece.

If they liked the number going up so much, then why do they spend so much for secret bunker houses and private islands? They’re spending so much, when if they stopped spending their numbers would be higher.

They like number go big so they can spend more money. Making the spending number go higher is what they like.

I think they call this the Japanese paradox. Smoking relevance is extremely high but so is drinking tea. I think Japan is at the top for average amount of tea drinkers at twice the amount of England. Obviously it only looks at smoking as a cause and effect to lung cancer, and health issues can have a myriad of “root causes”. It’s the catechins present in green tea as the leading theory for the lowered cancer rates.

I think for a “fresh” scare it’d be fun to have a non-human antagonist. When the games first released they all had an air of mystery because we weren’t sure if it was a human or supernatural being behind it. I still really liked that but now it feels formulaic to finding out who to trust and not trust within the story.

With specifically one item on Pebble and Wolf. Main tank only needs two items too.

Gold doesn’t always equal raw strength. By that logic a 4 star 2 cost should be able to wipe an entire board. Imagine winning an entire lobby because your augment gave you “54g unit”. Every 3 cost reroll comp should win since 27g unit > 12/15g Epic/Legendary unit and there’s no point in leveling past 8.

Riot may have also balanced 4 star Riftbeasts with their inherent reroll trait in mind.

Jokuki

Damage numbers never tell the whole story of a units strength. If the enemy tanks have MR against your Gromp, Gromp deals less damage (esp since I don’t see Shred). Elder dealing overkill damage with Crit on the backline will get numbers high to look good too.

Idk where 4 star units hover in power, but I’d guess somewhere around a 2 Star 4-cost or 5-cost, so honestly this tracks. 4 star should definitely be better than a 3 star tier above them, but idk about three tiers e.g. 4 star Gromp > 3 star Azir > or = 2 star Ahri. 2 star 5 cost hovers somewhere around the higher end.

Jokuki

Aka what every Diamond+ player has been complaining about gameplay wise. Sounds like it works.

In this video, guy who doesn’t work at Riot speculating about how successful something will be with no evidence. Also this presentation is just terrible, if you can call it that. He’s reading off his MS word doc and recording it over a video of League (not even TFT) gameplay.

So no I’m ok.

If you want something a little more like Frieren (but not like the others) Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Aren’t these gacha skins supposed to cost like $200? I might as well get the Akali statue instead. If I’m paying that much, better to at least have a physical version that won’t bust when the internet dies.

That's tragic to hear. I remember watching a couple of her videos when I was in college in 2014. She went on a couple talk shows and was so happy for her. Sad to hear she didn't get to live a longer life filled with appreciation, but I know she was excited to hear all the compliments she received thus far.
