Harpies. I took on a party of 3 lvl 4 adventures just trying to climb a cliff with 1 unaltered harpy. Most memorable fight of my 20+ year career as a DM. Took them 3 tries and survived one charming, twice being tossed into the nearby ocean and having to rescue their ally, and multiple kicked rocks after the harpy was bloodied. In the end the harpy got away and the party expended about half their resources getting up that cliff and recovering before engaging the force of hobgoblins and wizards in the nearby canyon.

Apart and Trust absolutely wreck me on that album. Really gives my sad feels a cathedral to breath in so they don’t claw out of my ribs.

I haven’t written a poem in about 16 years even though I used to fill spiral notebooks with them. I hadn’t written one since sitting on the floor of that dirty haz in Balad AFB, Iraq. I’ve felt really inspired lately for a lot of personal life reasons, but I wrote this one about my journey as a trans woman. I’ve never posted my poetry anywhere for anyone to see but I was feeling extra vulnerable this morning and really wanted to be seen.

I’ve been playing this game since it came out off and on and anything can be viable just maybe not always optimal. Dragonknights make great tanks and having a sword/shield ready for when stuff gets intense will help you play a good tank and apply nice debuffs to the enemy. Don’t let anyone tell you that you have to play the game a certain way and feel free to experiment and find something that feels good to you! Hell I even have a two handed stamina Warden as a healer that works great on Vet/DLC stuff too. Too many people think it’s all about maximizing your numbers and whatnot that will let you be great at harder dungeons but the most important part is understanding boss mechanics and knowing how and where to move your character based on your role. You can always watch tutorials but just playing the dungeons is your best bet to get better. Don’t be afraid to fail sometimes or beat yourself up when you do.

I’m gonna go a bit against the flow here but I’ve got a tank that solely uses two handed and runs just fine in Vet/DLC dungeons and Trials. You can taunt and control just fine and block and survive the heavy hits while still giving some good buffs. It just requires some creative use of sets and abilities outside of what you will find on online posted builds.

Yes that’s exactly how it works now. If they simply removed the oversight of the abilities canceling the animation and causing it to play out then the meta would just switch to using abilities back to back the way a lot of new players already do.
In my mind the only fix would have to be changing up the purpose of light and heavy attacks. I think a good fix (alongside taking away the glitch of animation cancelling) would be to have light attacks restore resources (to a greater degree when done back to back) and have heavy attacks use a resource and do both greater damage and do a small half second stun each time that will counter ability uses of the enemy. Would change up the game massively… but tis just idle dreaming I know.

I know how to do it. I personally find it easy to do… but I’m of the very firmly held opinion that it is just plain stupid. I don’t want to have to animation cancel to be viable. It’s only a part of the system by accident and they never fixed it. I hate it on principle as much as practice.

Ridding the game of Light Attack Weaving would bring me back. Also a new weapon style that lets you just use a single one handed weapon and nothing in your offhand as a viable build would seduce me back into this game.

I love high leveled content, but I am also very biased. I run a very high power campaign with homebrew rules I built that give the players extra feats, a new leveling system, custom powers, an yeah I use the same Epic Legacy book you use I bet. We all really enjoy it and I don’t find it a slog, but combat for me isn’t just a numbers game: I give them objectives and interesting things to interact with in the combat (also shout out to the minions system from 4E)

I’ve been playing since the game was only on PC and I’m still single digit MR. I have the frames and weapons I like and don’t really care to just use the others just to raise MR.

Absolutely a fun way of viewing it. I love the games so for me my “run” of them is the canon. The show though feels like “fanon” at best and an AU at worse.

Oh wow we aren’t reading the same fanfics… each to their own tags I suppose.

Hey as a quick bit of advice: When you unlock a new character they come with a new weapon you would have not seen before. To begin seeing that weapon in the rotation you have to get it to lvl 6 (normally) and then from that point on you will have it unlocked in the rotation (even if you die or quit immediately upon getting to that point with the weapon.

In the early days of my partner and me being together we were high on shrooms and going on about 3 hours of just fucking and giggling and had gotten really slippery and wet with sweat. To this day about 18 years later we both still fondly remember me crawling over them and licking the beaded sweat off their torso before shouting out “Sexual Salamander!”

Now what did I tell you about making up mythical creatures!?

Try at least once to play as an unarmed focused character. Hip kicking deathclaws across the map is soooooo satisfying.

You think we’ll ever get Lilith’s Cord in anime form?
This stat was in the first game the bar was just hidden. When it was high it would say things like “You’re too restless right now” if you tried to rest to restore your stamina but haven’t been doing enough stuff. The Hero of Spielberg got anxious if you made him just sit there doing nothing.
