I like how even though it's actually "Swedish Legends in Blackcurrant Jam Making", it still has an 18 certificate on the box.
Those saucy jammy Swedes.

Well, this morning I had a boiled egg! 🥚

I was on the last train home once, for some reason it wasn't running the whole way down the line, so there was a replacement bus service for the last 4 stops.
There was a guy on the train with a bike, and when I got on the replacement bus, he followed. The driver of the bus wouldn't let him on, telling him he's not allowed to have a bike on the bus, even though the bus was a replacement for a train service. He wouldn't have even been in anyone's way, because there was only me and another person on it.
The driver just said "nope, not allowed", closed the door in the guys face and just drove straight off. I could see the look of just pure bewilderment on his face as the bus went past him.
Jumpy_Abbreviations3
I heard a rumour that he's quite "well equipped". That could explain maybe why his face is so saggy, as if it's being pulled down...

You can make the lemonade less fizzy sure, but you can also just take the nozzle off. Each to their own method. The way I see it, people wanting a shandy of a creamflow beer probably don't care that it doesn't have it's creamyness. That kind of goes out the window once it's diluted with lemonade.
Jumpy_Abbreviations3
Nah, so Worthington Creamflow and Guinness keg taps have a special nozzle on them that act the same as a cask sparkler.
Taking it off when making a shandy will help a lot because it'll stop it foaming up too much. To make a shandy, lemonade goes in first because it's the fizziest, then you add the beer.
With the creamer nozzle on the keg tap, the extra agitation of the gas in the beer causes it to foam up even more once it gets into the lemonade, so taking it off helps a lot.

Beers like Guinness and Worthingtons "Creamflow" have a special nozzle on them that has a little plate with holes in that acts the same as a sparkler does on a cask handpull. The point being that the use of nitrogen gas, as well as those nozzles mimics the mouthfeel and head retention of a cask beer, whilst having the longevity of a keg.
I agree that taking off the nozzle will make it easier to pour. I take the sparklers off our casks when asked to pour a cask shandy.

If you're looking for pub quizzes in that area, The Bramley Cottage does a quiz every Wednesday and Sunday, and The Weighbridge in Alvechurch does one on the second Monday of each month.

I remember this one guy came to the bar, he ordered a beer and then asked "what ladies drinks do you have?" Unfortunately, I'm used to that question, so I answered it with my usual response of "anything we sell is can be a ladie's drink, do you know what they're after?" He didn't really seem to like that answer, but he asked if we had any prosecco, which we did, so he ordered one of those and sat down at a table.
About 10 minutes later, a woman came in and sat down with him, and after being sat for a minute or two, she came up to the bar and asked what single malt whiskies we had and ordered a Balvenie. At that point I realised it was probably their first date, and he didn't even attempt to find out what she liked to drink, and just assumed she wanted a prosecco because it's "a ladies drink".
He later came up to the bar and asked if we had a deck of cards because he wanted to do a magic trick. We didn't, so he went back to the table.
They only had the one drink each, and left separately, her first. She even left the full glass of prosecco on the table. It was all so awkward.

I'm not advocating for people to specifically go out and cook themselves just to give a business some trade, I' just thought I'd try and advocate for ways of helping places out whenever people can.
Jumpy_Abbreviations3
Yeah, forgive me. I don't want to come across as if these places should be pitied, and I really don't want to make people feel bad for going somewhere specifically to escape from the heat either.
Sorry if it comes across that way, which I know it definitely does.
There's an HSBC machine in my hometown that dispenses fivers, and this is how I use it to get just £5. It doesn't show up on the main withdrawal selection screen.
