If you have a fully maxxed out Blaze Javelin, you can disable these from the ground and board them (once disabled, fly close with a corvette and park close by - then jet pack over). You can then repair the damage you did, and they'll warp out leaving you standing in mid-air. Kind of cool.

Iteration 1

Jupiter67

Pity HG provides only basic "lego" block parts instead of stuff with fit/finish like this!

Jupiter67

The only winning move is to turn off Networking.

Jupiter67

Do whatever you want to do. That's the whole of NMS law.

Tune the sandbox. Remove what you loathe (e.g., the rules get boring in a week) using Difficlty Settings or makes things more difficult. No one cares. It's not competitive. Everyone's path in the universe of NMS is unique to themselves.

NMS is a pure imagination stimulator. Do whatever feels right in the moment.

Jupiter67

This is the fastest starship in the entire sandbox. Tunes up well past 5000 Maneuverability. A true point-to-point interceptor. Interdictions last around 2 seconds and I'm back in pulse flight.

Jupiter67

Turn crafting costs to FREE and fully expand it at any starship kiosk. Then return crafting costs to STANDARD.

Don't waste time on these ludicrous grinds.

Jupiter67

As long as we can dupe, there will be gifting. I know what it was like to bring myself up from nothing and hit unit cap pre-multiplayer. It was "fun," but also the worst slog/grind I ever experienced. I wouldn't wish that particular capitalism-in-space hell on anyone. That said, I only give ion batteries. People usually have a few, so their stack is ready to accept one.

I have 2700 hours on my NEXT save (lost my original Day 1 save to the "very large save" bug and it never recovered). The thing I absolutely can't stand these days is how bad the economy is. Every substance except for true rarities should be for sale in these markets. That said, "ruining" the hyper-lame economy-based game is something I'm all for. If gifting a billion units to people allows them to truly engage with NMS without it becoming "enslavement to virtual wages," they'd really probably have a much better time.

The real "game" is the player's imagination. NMS is a sandbox. The literal "game" is just tutorials for in-universe systems. I believe the former is more important than some group of newbie purists who think the rules are worth playing by (they aren't).

Jupiter67

Set costs to FREE. This currency is abyssmal. Buy whatever you want, then turn costs back to Standard. Forget this currency. It's stupid. Too scare. Things cost way too much. Arguably not fun.

Jupiter67

Yikes. Get some rocket boots.

Jupiter67

The only way to immerse is to break all the rules. The rules are the first thing you'll become bored to tears with. Set up the sandbox to suit your fantasy. That's all that matters.

Jupiter67

The most tired part of NMS is the "capitalism in space" motifs that all space games seem to have in their DNA. And we clearly don't go to the same parties.

Jupiter67

That's superb!

Jupiter67

Turn crafting costs OFF. This takes 10 seconds.

Fastest starship in the entire game. Mine tuned up to 5000+ Maneuverability. Post-interdict I'm back in pulse flight in around 1.5 seconds. Speed demon!

Jupiter67

There's a unit cap. And the whole economy is a joke and money is pointless.

Jupiter67

If they haven't done it in a decade, they're not going to start now, I'd wager.

Jupiter67

That's the Vintage filter!

Jupiter67

Turn off the idiotic screen shake effect. Seems to apply to anything that illogically shakes.

Jupiter67

Hire the first/third person gunplay team from Bungie.

Jupiter67

Time to call your therapist?

Jupiter67

Space dongs. These planets are a therapy method that ensure every male who visits feels insecure.
