So I did my first stipple job about 6 months ago. I practiced on a bunch of different back straps and baseplates I had sitting around because they're definitely a different material than the case. I used a Flexcut U gouge to do the borders. This took the most practice. After I cut my border I used some 400 grit Dremel wheels on the inside and on the existing grip. I think it came out nice but find a texture that is going to be for what you want... ie. If it's going to be against your skin or range only or competition, etc.
