33% performs better and is easier to tune.

That’s a beaut. What’s the body you run on it? Or is that a birthday suit RC?
Kamilon
Feels plenty fast. I’ve been in the game for a bit though so going 60MPH with the throttle pegged at 100% isn’t my jam anymore. I prefer actually driving and jumping a little and kinda weaving about or just throwing the back end around etc.
Honestly haven’t put the GPS on the Rustler but my guess is it goes about 45 while the Jato does 60+. That sounds like a lot but when I’m driving either car they are probably going about the same speed most of the time (again, not flat out at all times).
Kamilon
Rustler does better on dirt/grass and is fine on the road. The Jato does awesome on the road, terrible on grass and pretty good on packed dirt but not super great on loose dirt. Basically, Rustler is more versatile. Rustler is also just a really good beginner nitro and the price isn’t too bad. My only gripe with it is that it comes with a fair amount of Philips screws which is a huge pet peeve of mine on RC.
Kamilon
I have all of them. Nitro is my jam. The Nitro Slash is a ton of fun for what it is but it’s not a “versatile” vehicle. It’s basically an on road, slide all over the place, randomly flip over car. 😂
Kamilon
Jato is faster. But I would choose the Rustler if I only had one given those 2 as options.

Slayer Pro 4x4 is my favorite RC in my stable.
I know it’s not in your lineup, but that would be my first recommendation. Then Revo 3.3. Then Rustler.
Jato is really designed for road. It’s does fine on packed dirt but very poor in grass.
Nitro Slash is a parachute king and a ton of work to resolve. If you do though it’s a ton of fun and very nimble.
Kamilon
That’s sick thanks!
Kamilon
Wait, is last name per character? I haven’t had time to create a second character in beta but I assumed last name was account wide…
Kamilon
I’ve rescued plenty of things from the p-trap of drains.
0% chance I’m putting a contact lens in my eye after being in the p-trap.
Kamilon
It’s a new pen for me but 2 flights down with a Twsbi 700r and it did great.
Kamilon
That’s crazy! He saved 100km since the last time I saw a post about this!
Kamilon
I think Dragonflight being the dragon expansion just put more emphasis on the dragon names.
We have known their full name since Classic.
I think Krasus vs Korialstraz also tended towards his dragon name in that expansion, if I remember correctly.
Kamilon
lol you misquoted them

“Stock settings” is just a reset point. It’s not a spot where you know it’ll run. If it’s bogging, lean it out. You need to mess with the low speed needle for the idle to low speed settings though.
Kamilon
Highly recommend driving this without “upgrading” to a 3.3. 3.3 is way too much power for how light these are and you’ll never put the power down.
These cars are SO much fun on some dirt with a bit of loose gravel.
Kamilon
You’re gonna love it. Nitro takes more work but it’s well worth it. The sound and smell are unbeatable.
Kamilon
I use mine in many professional environments. I’ve only had people comment on how cool it is, or the pen, or just that I’m actually writing when I could be typing. I’m in the tech world so analog media is an anomaly outside of fairly infrequent scenarios.
I’ll admit though that I couldn’t care less what other people think about what my notebook looks like. It’s a tool for ME.
Kamilon
Yes. The mini has a split keyboard option.
Kamilon
It was the Camino.
Also Colgate doesn’t translate well in Spanish but it’s still called that at least in Mexico.
Kamilon
That’s an expired cert. Easy fix. Something Traxxas has to do from their side though.
Kamilon
I live vicariously through you right now. Love seeing your posts, ideas, reviews and random videos.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s true for many others here as well.
Kamilon
It’s 100% AI. The linkage on the servo doesn’t even mechanically make sense. That’s ignoring the fuel lines going into it lol
Either is fine. You’ll see more power with higher nitro. Not usually a giant difference on top speed but it can be noticeable for acceleration. You’ll be fine with 20%.
