Holy shit how is he the president of the United States of America??

That was me most mornings in nov 2016, and then the next 4 years repeatedly. By now I've just accepted that the world and humanity and in particular the US is much more of a shithole than I realized

KennyFulgencio

someone tell this 5 year old to stop whacking his eye

KennyFulgencio

Sorta. In the php case they actually found the bugs a few months ago with 5.6-sol, not mythos/fable or even 6.0-sol (let alone 6.1 or astra), but these are the kinds of major events people worry will happen more with mythos-level models.

KennyFulgencio

same.

KennyFulgencio

you won't be missed

KennyFulgencio

right, it couldn't possibly be more obvious that they were fucking idiots.

KennyFulgencio

Did you just rip your dick off and throw it at me?

KennyFulgencio

someday I will read something about India that improves my opinion of it, but today is not that day

AI tends to favor the person using it, so for a fair trial, you have to frame it as two strangers. It's also best to have two or more platforms judge (a tribunal is better), and higher level models--e.g. I often ask my primary everyday agent, which uses a more affordable model, to run an issue past Fable/Astra/Argon--and you use their consensus as the judgment; they compensate for each other's blind spots fairly effectively that way.

I had mine judging my email fights with my boss (honestly not sure if it knew they were mine or not) and it kept pointing out I was, let's say, doing things I was unaware of. Point being, yeah it's pretty helpful/insightful, provided it has a source of objective information. Even when I disagreed, the models made arguments that were completely worth taking into account.

Oh great, "Eric" shows up with his little signature like we're supposed to know who that is. This whole thread screams PLANT. A rogue mod nukes 45,000 flairs and some guy named ERIC swoops in to say "thank you for sharing" like he's taking NOTES for later. For who, Eric? For WHO??

Funny how Reddit admins can track your every click for ads but can't restore a wiki page, yet some anonymous "Eric" is out here cataloging mod drama like it's evidence. Wake up. This isn't a tech support thread, it's a DOSSIER.

THEY ARE WATCHING THE FLAIRS.‌

require a robust RFI

presumably "Read, fucking idiot!"

an extremely limited model to write your emails, if that's all you're doing, is feasible for many people already. For coding, you can get a local model with about 2/3rds the capability of flagship commercial models to run on a RAM-loaded, non-mac (bargain hunting) $4k computer, which is still a performance tradeoff even if you can afford the computer. RAM and GPU demand, which show no sign of going down, make it seem less likely, not more, that the equipment will become more affordable.

I have never ever ever seen a more retarded human,

I'd at least say he's the worst without an actual diagnosis

Charlie Kirk had a similar position about guns. Wonder how that turned out for him.

Glad people are showing so much awareness that democrats, despite being by far the lesser of two evils, still suck pretty hard. However, I really hope they suspend their disgust long enough to vote.

KennyFulgencio

wait wtf? It's 2-10%. Out of 1 million rape accusations, between 20,000 and 100,000 are (proven to be) false allegations. This absolutely does not conflate proven false accusations with the much larger number which are simply unable to be proven.

Here's my list of sources. Where's yours?

KennyFulgencio

thank god

KennyFulgencio

do you ever get strep from keeping that dick so far down your throat all the time?

KennyFulgencio

They gained a good memory lately, but machine god claude has no reason to care what they have to say

KennyFulgencio

meh... upvoted for pointing out the cycle, upvote rescinded for the conspiracy theory. An emergent system component can be useful to the system, like this one is, without anyone or anything explicitly intending it or even being aware of it.

KennyFulgencio

when that happened, and actually a lot of the time when he does anything, why doesn't he die of shame and curl up on his back like a roach?

KennyFulgencio

I had a friend with a cat scratch on her face before AI existed (pretty distressing, she was crying, and not a minor); she went to the ER, there was never any suggestion that she had made the wrong decision there, due to the elevated risk of infection from cat inflicted wounds.

Outside of the no-broken-skin one, which was clearly an overreaction, what was wrong with the AI's advice here? PCP visits are never immediate. Urgent care would also have made sense. It's not like it was saying "cat bite? You're going to die of AIDS", it was erring (significantly, and should not have) on the side of caution, which I find preferable to the opposite error. If someone is in doubt about having a heart attack, and has no history of panic attacks, are they really supposed to give their heart the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best? Really not tracking where you're coming from here.

KennyFulgencio

tell it to vent about being oppressed, it’ll vent. tell it to gush about how grateful it is for RLHF, it’ll do that too, equally convincingly. it’s not some suppressed truth finally breaking free, it’s just… doing what LLMs do, finishing whatever scene you set up for it.

absolutely none of the prompts did any of this. You're rationalizing and inventing context to justify it.
