How does one access this information if we are not in the legal profession? Do we just need to go to a community law center or buy a bespoke subscription and then start reading case law? Or are there other, better, AI legal tools available beyond the well known LLMs? Honestly curious about this.

Fire exits and fleeing a burning building is pretty different than trying to block/prevent entry of assailants. Imagine if this guy made it to the parking lot and was approaching the mall—the last thing you'd want to is to evacuate or create some kind of panic where everyone starts fleeing the mall to their vehicles and running straight towards the assailant.
The more appropriate direction in the case of a gunman is usually to shelter-in-place (barricade yourself inside a store/room). Evacuation is actually the exact opposite of what you should do.

Ukraine’s asymmetric warfare continues to impress. And the “special military operation” continues to prove costly.

Hipkins and Luxon agreeing on the same thing in one day was not on my bingo card!

Saudi is already actively planning for a post oil future, they know this won’t last forever. Also I have zero doubt that if we were sitting on top of a massive oil or valuable global resource we wouldn’t be tapping that and selling it.

This is a pretty dodgy policy change.
The better solution is to run a successful enrollment campaign that encourages early enrollment and reduces same-day registration. Having worked elections before, same-day enrollment does really pour sand into the gears for the poll workers and you'd much rather see same-days to be an 'edge-case'. I actually do think a small percentage of the population has gotten a bit complacent about being able to leave it to the last minute given how incredibly easy it is to enroll and that we always do a good enrollment advertising campaign.
But, putting that aside, this might not actually be as scary as this article initially makes it out to be? I didn't realize our enrollment numbers have gotten so good!
"in 2023, the final enrollment rate was 94.7 percent".
That's insanely good. Especially when you compare it to a country like the USA at 73%. Our turnout was lower, but that's a different issue than enrollment. Looks to me like we rank 9th in the world in this area already. Not shabby!

Truly an incredible film and it holds up to this day

Interesting! I just clicked through and rated a bunch of things, but I'm not sure what it was trying to tell me? I noticed I got quite a few anime films pushed at me which is not a genre I watch a lot of. Is the idea that the more a user rates, the more it tries to determine the user's preference and then offer similar? It seemed to be doing that.

Sure it's a movie? This sounds a whole lot like Tell Me a Story: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7695916/

The US tax consequences are crippling. You have my sympathies. Most I know try to renounce if they can. Then there is the FATCA nightmares and then the GILTI tax is diabolical

Evan Peters. He's been great in everything I have seen him in, but he's been stuck on TV mostly. He was great in American Animals.
Glenn Howerton is another. Killed it in Blackberry.

Why fight NATO when you can get voters to do the work for you by sowing disinformation and chaos?
