he has the same face, a long face with a pointy chin and high cheek bones. he still has the same hair style, a simple slick back, those two things r design elements.

now pay attention, the way those things r drawn, as u said, his hair is messier, and his face his ever so slightly different, are a matter of how the artist draws it. they changed animation studios, other ppl were in charge of drawing the characters, still, the art style is inspired by the original co-creator of the comic, cory walker, so obviously they cant free style, therefore its a different take on the style. they followed the source material but differently from what the s1 studio did.

when u say "The artstyle of the show has been the exact same since the first season. Maybe its a but more vibrant than the later seasons but other than that the overall look of the show hasn't changed." u r also conflating "art style" with "art direction", the show carries its aesthetic through the studio change, because the art direction is essentially the same.

by your logic, when dragon ball switched artists, goku changed designs, because, following your argument, toriyamas style is rounder and simpler as opposed to toyotaros more detailed and sharp lines, he draws the neck thinner and toyotaro draws them thicker, gokus hair also looks slightly different.

i think most would agree gokus design didnt change at all. because again the components of his design r the same, orange suit, with blue details and the iconic spiky hair.

one is design, how a characters appearence is. their hair, their physique and at times their outfit.

the other his art style. how the thing is drawn. that differs from artisst to artist, because all artists have different techniques or ways they draw things. alex ross drawing invincible wouldnt look the same as what cory walker does. araki drawing goku also wouldnt look the same as toriyamas style.

I dont think it was, but either way imo its a bullshit reason, they are different enough, different hair, different personality, hes in his suit most of the time, among other reasons.

I remember kirkman talking about diversity in character design, and the time when they creates those characters a regular white guy was kinda the status quo and their only reference since they were just starting their career, and that sounds like a way more reasonable reason, techjacket is an old character and ig they just wanted to try new things, wich is fine, still wouldve been cool to see zach on screen.

when reading that, i always thought that thraggs offspring were like premature, but in a lethal way because of obvious reasons, maybe he was trying to grow an army as fast as possible and most of the kids "came out wrong", because ursaal and her brother werent that weak, even tho they werent at marks level they could still do some things, but thats just my headcanon
