My adventure effect mons have around 2.5k candy already. I'd absolutely throw them at Eternatus at this point if I'd been able to get it. Putting more into them almost feels the same as trashing them.

When I came back in July 2025 I transferred most of my mons from 2016. I was full on storage and still FTP so it was an "easy decision". Transferred a couple of Hundos too. I didn't know what a lucky Pokemon was at the time so I had no idea what I was giving up.

Fucking Bagon. 4 hundos and 0 shinies.

Backgrounds are only worth anything for me when the Pokemon is already shiny. To me, backgrounds are like a seasoning. Basically worthless on its own, but with the right meal (shiny) they can be pretty good.

You can buy any Mon on eBay. Some are more expensive than others, but yeah it’s pretty easy to do. Honestly, I can’t blame the people who buy them. It’s sometimes just easier to fork over $3 for a shiny Pikachu than to take a trip to the one region it’s available in and try to hunt it yourself.

Check everything. I had one in a box that I got back from Nintendo a few years ago. Circle pad doesn’t work. Now I gotta pay again because I didn’t test it fully.

I hope so. I'm running out of mons to dump my rare candy into. All of my adventure effects have over 3k and I'm still sitting on 2500 rare candy. It'd be nice to have a black hole to throw them into that isn't strictly a waste.

I have plenty of energy and a desire for 6 crowned of each. I need more XL candy.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying there would be performance issues. I’m just saying that I’m not interested in playing PS1 or newer on a screen thats under 13 inches. That and when I’m in bed it’s bed time, not game time lol. I’ll run a GBA emulator on my iPhone now and then just because I can, but ultimately even then I prefer to play on my PC.

I can't say I've ever wanted to emulate on my phone outside of the odd GBA game for the novelty. I'd just rather do it on my PC because that's always going to be a better experience. Having said that, setting up an xbox controller for iOS is just as easy as android these days. Really the only thing holding back emulation on iOS is Apple's refusal to allow JIT.
