Thank you! Looking at her now she ended up more blue toned than I intended but that's ok, I have airbrush and probably other methods. I can't wait until she's done too.

Uh I just thought I'd let you know that some of the links in the 'doll clothing' listing are either 404 or link to something inappropriate. Could just be old links that never got renewed, just a heads up.

I looked up many tutorials like they have in the reference thread in this community. I used Ritmore synthetic dye and a cheap enamel pot off amazon. I looked at Rit dyes website to get a formula for the color wanted. I already had sticks and strings and towels so it was just a matter of giving it my best shot after that.

Resin. Plastic would probably melt in the high temperatures needed to use the dye.

Yep, just like Beecrimes said. I read a lot of tutorials first, it was super helpful. Ritmore for synthetic seemed like the best options. They even got formulas on their website for specific colors. I still had to do math to make sure it matched with the amount of water I was using. Other than that I just had to dip in small time increments to keep an eye on the color.

Well the character is a half drow so I really was gonna just go for it and make her a blueish smokey color. I'm risking a lot but I have my heart set on doing this! If I mess it up a little I have an airbrush. XP

Thanks~ Oh I ordered her back in September. It took a long time but I was willing to wait for her. I only just got her yesterday. The outfit I think was a limited thing I decided to snatch up while I was at it so she wouldn't be completely naked for too long.
