Yup. Transfer desirable Pokémon out, restart. Do people not do this?

Kingslayer1337

Doesn’t Steam have platinums? Just depends on whether the developer adds it or not. It’s just a regular achievement.

My car is 25 years old, and my last one was 9 years old, so yeah.

Kingslayer1337

My BMW is 26 years old

Software QA tester - I do all my work before work then my day is basically free unless I get some random call (unlikely)

Me and my buddy did my CCV and it took us FOREVER. The entire weekend. Taking everything apart was so infuriating. Reassembly was not difficult. Replaced the CCV and the vacuum lines no problem. Getting the fuel rail back on properly though… for one, the clips holding the injectors on are stupidly tiny and annoying to get off and on. Secondly, getting them all on without a leak seemed like an impossible task. Brand new O-Rings on all of them. One would leak, so we’d take the rail off and try again, then a different one would leak. Then I got a torque spec wrong and snapped the literal final bolt of the entire project.

Took it to a shop to extract the bolt of shame and get the fuel rail on properly… still cost less than a CCV would take but still I was furious at myself. Good learning experience.

Other things I’ve done are valve cover gasket (Easy), control arm bushings (Easy), full interior swap (0/10 do not recommend it’s annoying to get the carpet out and back in), reapholstered the headliner and pillars (6/10 I am not patient enough for that shi-), oil changes/filter changes (brain dead easy), angel eyes (mildly frustrating), brakes (frustrating but only because lacked good tools), installed Eonon stereo (easy just requires patience)

I moved my save across GBA (EzFlash Omega), an Analogue Pocket, my steam deck, and sometimes my phone (Delta).

My Pokemon have been on quite the journey…

Kingslayer1337

E46 M3 you can get one in immaculate shape for that price. Low miles, manual, make sure subframe was reinforced, vanos was rebuilt, valves adjusted, rod bearings done.

Kingslayer1337

Yup, that should be possible. You can put your save on the emulator, then distribute it to yourself, then put the save back on the authentic cart.

Celebi requires a Japanese copy of emerald though, if I remember correctly

As for putting the save on a flash cart, I think the only way to get GameCube connectivity to work is to use an EZ Flash Omega DE with Mode B support. That’s how I did it. In Mode B it treats the game like a regular GBA cart, so you can use it with GameCube link or to use PalPark on DS

Yeah this can all be done without PkHex. If you don’t wanna go through that whole rigmarole just send me your save and I’ll trade them over 👍🏼

Kingslayer1337

You would need 2 for the distributions, but I have 2 so if you can get the save I’ll happily trade you some!

If you mean you have an authentic game + flash cart all you need to do is find the save files containing the Pokemon distributed and put them on your flash cart and trade the Pokemon to your authentic copy.

I have the Jirachi and Celebi bonus disc so I can hook up to my GameCube and get you one as well.

Growing up in California we recited the pledge of allegiance every day before the morning announcements. Participation is not required and many do not participate. Nobody cares - students or staff. I never once did.

In my younger days I would definitely scoff at anyone who didn’t want to build a PC on their own.

These days, I’m older, and I get it. Also, pre-builts are cheaper these days, and with probably less than an hour of research you can learn how to check if your PC was built and set-up properly.

No judgement. I still build mine, cause it’s fun and I have built so many computers I could probably do it in my sleep, but I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to.

Kingslayer1337

I fill up every 2 weeks, and it costs $90 each time. $180 x 12 = $2,160.00/yr

Kingslayer1337

You should get all of the event distribution Pokemon, there are distribution roms available online. Some unique ones are the Dragonite at lvl 50 and the VGC shinies.

Kingslayer1337

Great work! I did this a few months back. Using Pokemon Box on GameCube to organize everything made things so much easier. If you’re able to dump your save with a DS flash cart and send it to me, I can put it on one of my flash carts and trade you a legitimate MYSTRY Mew, Space Center Deoxys, Wishmaker Jirachi, and Celebi from Japanese Colosseum disc. Then send the save back. If not no worries! Great accomplishment 👍🏼🫡

Kingslayer1337

Yes it’s nice to have but you should still bring a small cable, you lose so much efficiency by charging wirelessly. Consider MagSafe just an easy way to mount it to your phone.

Milotic! Felt so proud to finally catch and evolve Feebas in Emerald as a kid. Back then, I was the only one I knew to have ever done it.

Mine just started leaking and I noticed it immediately because it caused a vacuum leak. My car feels really sluggish, popped the hood, and had some oil on the VC.

Kingslayer1337

This is your first car? And it’s as mint as you say? Work on keeping it mint. Learn how to maintain your car. Change your oil on time, learn how to change your belts, pulleys, change your CCV, change your oil filter gasket, valve cover gasket, upgrade your DISA Valve, rebuild your VANOS, restore your sagging headliner, suspension bushings, suspension itself, brake pads, rotors, all fluids. Restore your leather and cloth seats.

Become a master E46 mechanic. Then, after you’ve made the car bulletproof and have a deep understanding of how the car works, go ahead and mod it if you want. For the love of god though don’t put a body kit on the ZHP… it already looks great.

Keep it OEM+ if you want to be classy…
Coils or Springs, Wheels, Angel Eyes, maybe a front lip and sideskirts, CSL trunk, that’s it.

Make it look how it should have coming off the showroom

Kingslayer1337

There are tons of things you will need to refresh if you get one that hasn’t been maintained. Suspension, CCV, vacuum lines, VANOS + Vanos lines, intake boots, cooling system, power steering lines, all fluids, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket, control arm bushings, other suspension bushings, rear main seal potentially, driveshaft guibo, oil dipstick o-ring, water pump, thermostat failure

Upgrades you should make immediately:
DISA Valve (German Auto Solutions upgrade kit)
Radiator Cap (German Auto Solutions) will vent at lower PSI, protect the cooling system and expansion tank
Electric Fan (Automatics came with clutch fan, when clutch fails fan explodes and dents your hood and destroys cooling system)

Once you fix anything that’s aging though, yes they are very very reliable and will last forever

The only real main Achilles heal of these engines is that if the cooling system blows and you don’t immediately shut the car off, the engine will overheat and since it’s an aluminum head, will warp, blow your head gasket, and strip your head bolts.

Also, they used a new, worse piston ring design that is more prone to expanding/failing - good way to prevent this is to not let your engine overheat, and don’t let your CCV fail.

Replace your CCV asap. Mine was burning tons of oil fast when my CCV died.

Doing the work yourself is pretty easy and once you refresh the aging components you should have nothing to worry about for a long time.
