yeah. Nothing is going to fit into an ideal box. The Nepali gov was extremely corrupt. The recent uprisings were anti-establishment, certainly not pro-capitalist. They still wanted strong social safety nets.

Anyway… Corruption is not unique to any political/economic system.

It seems, to my eye, that any political system (that is not anarchist, i suppose) succumbs to corruption.

the only socialist governments to survive have been authoritarian regimes…
all democratically elected socialist governments have been destroyed by the CIA before we could see how they actually fare. Just sayin… I don’t think the US gov would try so hard to villainize socialism if it was actually an inevitable failure…
