somtimes its not whats reported but whats said. heres real excerpt from their earnings announcement
For Transaction Processing, we are raising our expectations for the full year with growth expected to be flat.
im going to make this example up but thats all it could take. whats transaction processing? who cares. they said growth was flat so the future value must be as well. time to sell.

You need to play cs2 to understand this!
i play enough cities skylines 2 to know this is not how we talk to women! i will now exercise my rights to downvote. good day to you sir.

the prerequiste is if you lose 3 to 4 months of savings in 3 to 4 months you arent ready.
I’ve established a proven repeatable strategy and can execute well on it (almost) all the time.
this means nothing if its paper trading. dont let the allure of 'easy money' pull you away from a steady paycheck.
KoreanChamp
yes and eventually you lose so much or so many times that the i cant fix it gets fixed without needing to ask how. if you dont have self control its less about trading not being for you and not being for you right now. maybe take a break for awhile and come back later with a more disciplined aka older mindset.

trading view is obvious. the others they probably uses to create their own platform to backtest on or run analysis or track their portfolio.

I’ve finally realized that my biggest problem isn’t necessarily my price action knowledge, but my risk management and emotions. I’ve stopped going crazy with my lot sizes, and I’ve managed to keep my balance relatively stable since then.
you have the answers you just have to enforce them.
How did you learn to control your emotions, stop revenge trading, and stick to proper risk management while learning?
stop trading first and thinking later. you cant change overnight but what you can do is start journaling and understanding why you made the trades you did. write down everything. then analyze your trades. only in moments of self reflection will you start to see the true gamblers mindset youre currently in and being to understand what you need to do differently.

averaging 22% a month is amazing. and here i thought 2% a week was lofty.
KoreanChamp
i think he was just saying that around 1% a month is very low without accounting for the fact your strategy is presumably very low risk.
KoreanChamp
i watched and waited for awhile on jz but its annoying trying to scalp penny stocks on limit orders.
KoreanChamp
i dont know what happened to biya but i watched a similar drop off happen to biaf today. fun times.

uhh it takes 2 seconds to read the news unless this is a bot account posting which in that case makes sense
Under the terms announced Thursday, Viatris will pay $36.50 per share for Pacira — a premium of roughly 45% over Wednesday's closing price of $25.20, according to the Wall Street Journal.

so you finally learned how to properly edit a clip to under 30 seconds eh? ill go ahead and take my downvote away. you earned it.

and went straight to a live cash account without paper trading.
same. took me losing way too much before i started practicing proper risk management. now i maybe play it too safe since im still down but whatever i can do to not lose the previous days gains. my advice would be have patience and let your winners ride. the biggest wins will make up for the small losses over time.
KoreanChamp
+ 0.3% is better than zero but you could easily hit 2 3 4 5 6% with the right stocks. yes you have to hold longer for a shorter time but scalping miniscule percentiles seems boring to me. use a stock screener. find whats trending upward and ride the wave until you see red. you can check in the morning afternoon or overnight. you know you have a winner when you keep seeing green. this method is called swing trading.
one thats been working for me recently is gral
KoreanChamp
you know what else goes vroom? downvotes on these garbage clips.
KoreanChamp
2.59% for the month isnt bad. if you create a hard rule like once i lose 500 im done for the day you could easily prevent those 2k loss days. maybe you already have starting today?
KoreanChamp
to your first point the whole of september was a wash for me so i would agree.
my question to you would be why didnt you take the profit when all 3 were all up the same day you bought in? if you were holding these overnight for a few days then why isnt your stop at 1 or 2%? you should be able to set a stop loss for x days in your brokerage account.
KoreanChamp
first off i can totally understand why you attempted to jump in the start of the palantir move because as you stated you didnt want to miss the move. as a total noob i would have thought the same thing. only advice i would give is be more patient and wait for more confirmation. you waited from 9:42-9:46 to watch the stock move up 10c. i would have waited another 4 minutes to see if it continues to trend upward.
as for the qcom trade ive never heard about the candlestick volume metric but even if you stopped lossed yourself out you could have just watched the stock for a few minutes longer when it starts trending up at 9:34 - 9:35 and noticed the volume around 9:36 before jumping back in.
I cannot sit in front of the screen all day waiting for the perfect pullback.
now it makes sense.
KoreanChamp
double down on palantir again. and tesla. thats what lurking wsb has taught me.
KoreanChamp
hope you bought in op because you just made yourself an easy bag overnight
