Oh it'll also be a 9/11 for Hasan. He'll frame it on his wall.

Krinkex

I listened to the greens leader and deputy on a podcast talking about ‘material conditions’ and how the struggle outside parliament is where the real power is ‘in the streets’. Didn’t realise how far into the marxist slop they were.

Krinkex

Kind of sounds like Trump and Russia are working together to destroy Ukraine, hmmm

Krinkex

I've seen you do this a number of times, can you guess what Gus was saying here, like do you have any guess? You're completely lost on what is meant? Really?

Krinkex

Turns out if the government cuts NDIS, says they'll do that, and then do... like how am I not meant to repeat what they said, they did it!

I think this is projection from you. I think you just hate the Labor government and you just don't believe them, hence when I tell you what they've done, you scoff at it because of your preconceived bias against them. The LNP in QLD are even against it, does that mean I speak for QLD LNP too? It shows where you're at IMO.

Krinkex

Not true is it, because they just did this- so you're straight up wrong on that.

Krinkex

This already happens except you don’t want any regulation on it because you think ‘the elite’ are going to use it against you.

Isn’t it odd how you have the exact opinion those companies would want if what you said was true? ‘no regulation on big tech’ is the corporate position.

Krinkex

They're looking at the camera like I look at food in the microwave at 2am.

Krinkex

Low-effort/dismissive rhetoric

Krinkex

I skipped in I kid you not 8 different times and Hasan is biting nails, on his phone not even watching the video. Can someone please timestamp where Hasan decodes Dave?

Did you see the new Greens leader Shoebridge talking about "The Banks", "financial industry" being propped up by a duopoly for the 1%? It's kinda wild. He called Ukraine "The Ukraine" and said he didn't want to provide arms to a war in Europe. This was on a very conservative talk back radio station (2GB).

It's very obvious to me the oddball left in Australia very envious of One Nations recent rise.

Polls show that Australians are mostly concerned with affordability, security and immigration. These are things that are very emotional for a lot of people (and not all for bad reasons, see Bondi terrorist attack, fuel, etc).

To me, it's very obvious that the Greens wants to replicate this dissatisfaction that ON has done well on, and pull people back from ON- give them a non racist version of anti-establishment politics. A big difference is Greens can't benefit from the right leaning media ecosystem (which boosted ON greatly). And many people (but not all) who vote ON are principally against the Greens. So it seems kinda dumb, but here we are.

I don't get why anyone would want to emulate One Nation when they got where they are by misinformation, propaganda, bots, lying, etc. It's a morally devoid achievement.

The fact the left seeks to engage and emulate ON, a far right autocratic capitalist wet dream, is very sobering to me and highlights that horseshoe isn't always a meme, it's genuinely true sometimes.

I really think pluralism is the core value that a lot of these socialists lack that liberals are strong in. Without pluralism there's no diversity.

It's why they're all ok with China and North Korea because to them a one state government with outlawed political association and free media is democratic? It's not! They talk about 'the uni-party'... well China is a literally uni-party by law.

These agitators reduce everyone to class 'aint no war but class war', but in doing so will reduce people's real struggles into fertilizer for their own pet project about socialism. They don't really care about the marginalized people so long as their pet political project is achieved, otherwise they wouldn't reduce it all to just class.

Honestly having really hated the later seasons on my first watch back when it aired (the show got somehow more ridiculous each season), I was recently pleasantly surprised to actually appreciate it much more on a rewatch because I could take it for what it was, not just want I wanted it to be. Give it a go I say.

Krinkex

Can you acknowledge that the context of what they responded to matters? Because both contexts exist, and you are focusing on 1 comment under the other. The context is all the posts, not 1. They justified it multiple times to me, after I said lying is bad and you shouldn't do it.

Would you say it's immoral to lie to further your own political ideology?

Krinkex

I don't use the exact words "you should not lie", but I do say that. Can you spot it? I assume you just can't see it, maybe that's why you misunderstand the context?

Krinkex

No, you're willfully misunderstanding me, I said lying is bad, and they said lying is OP as justification, you know that, you're commenting under it, the context is my post. Can you spot where I said lying is bad. If you can't, I will gladly show you.

Krinkex

Bro, when did I mentioned you mentioned graham platner?

Krinkex

No one said "you shouldn't lie".

I did. That's the context. That you are willfully misunderstanding. This is beyond parody.

Notice how none of these people actually say they disavow lying, or propaganda, but instead they defend it and then spend their time arguing that's not what they said. It's absurd.

Krinkex

You're taking the quote out of context. And you already disagree on the full context lol. Instead of us recreating the context piecemeal, just read it in this thread!

If someone says "you shouldn't lie", another says "but it's so good! everyone does it! everyone knows it!" and so they reply "but that's not justification", and so they try justify it: "it's good because it gets to the median voter and that's just how you win politics silly billy". What's missing from this text? If I added 'Lying is OP' before it, does it help or hinder my case for lying is bad and you shouldn't advocate for it?

Krinkex

He literally goes on and says it's easier and you should do it? Read the rest of the thread.

Dumb down rhetoric = stanning a blackwater merc who sexually assaults girlfriends and has a nazi tattoo that 'he forgor' about and didn't know was nazi but yet also is a history buff

You're just a fan of certain people in politics- it's more so a fandom than a political philosophy. You can't even win elections without dumbing down your own ideas, you don't trust the people. If trusting and being honest with people in democracy is appealing to centrist, then I don't care about that- at least I actually care what 'the people' think.

Don't accuse people of lying when it's right there for others to see. If you don't want people to think you're lying, don't justify it.

Krinkex

I'm advocating to not dumb down your beliefs just so the average voter agrees with you. It was you arguing you need to appeal to the constant voter or you wouldn't win. It's you doing that, not me. So you're more than just a little confused there.
