Has nothing to do with age of the build really, for example unreal engines editor symbols are 53.8gb similar stuff could be in until the end. Another one is spider man 2, it had a dev built leaked being 230gb, final game was 108

i just wish areas in between cities would be a bit bigger, like give me rdr2 spacing scaled to gta with the same level of detail

Or in the case of my parents phones they just effectively kill themselves via updates... (neither sim nor wifi working anymore after an update, went to samsung store and they just told them to buy a whole new phone, old ones were saddly like a week out of warranty...)
