I have never heard the anus referred to as simply "culo" and I speak fluent Spanish and speak to Spanish speakers from all over Latin America. The guy saying it means asshole in Mexican Spanish has no clue.

I don't think he does it on purpose, at least not always. He kept calling porn star Janine Lindemulder "lindemyuller" and argued with Steve Langford about the right pronunciation. Even when Langford proved he was correct the next day, Howard just shrugged it off and said she should change it to Lindemyuller. He then went back to pronouncing it wrong the next time she was brought up on a different day.

There are probably dozens of examples of him doing this thoughout the years. I was listening to an old show and he keeps calling Osama Bin Laden "Ben Lay-den" for months after the attacks despite playing news reports of people pronouncing it right. He wasn't doing it to be funny either.
