I was curious as to how this might affect me personally.

The local MS location has about 2,000 employees. That means about 500 will receive this offer. Of those, about 50 will take it. Of those, about 2-4 are in my field.

So while not spectacular, it looks like it won't move the before that much as to whom I compete against.

LNMagic

I dunno, what's in it for Trump?

LNMagic

Holy shit, imagine if the only protection needed against zombies were just wearing a mask. Like, zombies where all the teeth and fingers fall off, so all they can do is get close and breathe on you.

I'm also confused that my dad is switching to active management away from Vanguard, when he's the one who introduced me to it. It's not my money, so whatever, I guess.

LNMagic

He's played everything from the last of a people whose land was taken to a person who took the last land from people.

I hope we turn this state so fucking blue the sky looks pink! Even if it's just for one cycle.

In general, wealth leans right, but education leans left. They frequently counteract, but neither is a hard rule for a person's own values.

LNMagic

Trick play, it's now New America. Fuck, this shit is tiring.

LNMagic

It burned on January 6th 2021, if memory serves.

Voting alone is no longer adequate. Be the annoying person who checks in on people and makes sure you get some more aligned people activated with a plan to vote.

The last time AT&T answered phones with humans, it took me 2 hours of bouncing back and forth before I finally got to the person I needed. That was something like 15 years ago. After they switched to a computer-driven solution, I got too the person I needed in about a minute.

These tools are not universally bad.

The world would do well to crumble his entire empire.

LNMagic

How soon?

LNMagic

TsarShield.

LNMagic

How fast are punch cards readers nowadays, anyway?

LNMagic

Probably a better chance at baseball than some 5th-round rando.

LNMagic

This is really strange marketing for Tsarshield

LNMagic

Is there another basketball league I didn't hear about?

LNMagic

It's Milwaukee. He's a tool.

I've been thinking lately that we might do well to move to a parliamentary system. It's far too hard to remove bad leadership here.

As it stands, we're just a few weeks away from an election that polling suggests could be a major defeat for Trump.

I also wonder about misunderstanding your own talents. I was not a good student when I first got into college and eventually failed out of a mechanical engineering program. While I did get a bachelor's in IT from elsewhere, my man of success getting into the girls just became this long term for over my shoulder.

Last year I finished a master's in data science. I took harder courses, but because I tried to absorb everything I could and was willing to sacrifice also for it, I got really high marks. I was probably about 5 assignments away from earning a 4.0 at a school that has A- but not A+.

I wish I had pursued computer science or statistics instead of engineering when I started, but I'm also a different student than I was then.

I should also point out that in every single class, there was at least one student running circles around me.

Rickey Williams played pro ball and had been signed to the Rangers, but missed sitting trained to prep for the NFL draft.

Deion Sanders played pro football and baseball, but probably could have been pretty competitive in basketball too since he had been in that sport when younger.

Steve Nash was rather gifted at soccer.

I'm sure the full list is much longer. It's hard to comprehend just how elite the skills are to go pro.

LNMagic

Jordan wasn't actually that bad at baseball. He just wasn't dominant.

LNMagic

With her credentials, I wonder what she might have done to qualify for the job.

It's not fair to accuse her of the world's oldest profession, but it is fair to accuse this administration of the world's oldest clienthood. After all, the president's middle name is John.

LNMagic

Start by calling it Tsarlink.
