It’s not really a matter of existing with no money - it’s moreso a matter of saving up while you have an income. The person in this story was essentially living like a homeless person. Even if you step that up a tier to using hostels every night, you’re looking at less than $30k for a year in many many parts of the world. Meaning, if you can save ~$800/mo, you can do this in 3 years.
