That is just plain wrong.
Literally everything I said is correct.
In Germany for example there's a single payer system with free price setting. Prescription free medication has no involvement whatsoever, while if you invent a new prescription drug, there is a six month period to test the effects and side effects.
The time to market is longer than just the period of trials. For example, Lyumjev, the newest insulin released, took several years after release in the US to arrive in Germany. And with cost increases, they are no longer offering it in the EU while it remains freely available in the US.
The drug company can set its price however it likes to with the incentive to be either cheaper or better than the competition. Many similar systems in Europe.
This is incorrect. German, like all other single payer systems, tells manufacturers what they are willing to pay. The company either accepts that amount or doesn't sell their product in the country.
Lagkiller
Exactly that's my point, the board isn't stupid
Except that they are. They have no knowledge of prices or costs, so they impose their prices. It is why single payer countries don't get new drugs and procedures as quickly as countries without single payer.
knows it has to set a reasonable price for the producers to remain solvent.
Medicare reimburses 91 cents for every dollar the provider spends on care. So yes, logically they would do that. In reality, they do not.
Lagkiller
But their is a give and take.
There is not. It is set by a board.
Otherwise wouldn't the price be set to $1?
Would you sell your product that costs $3 to make, market, and ship in a country that only gave you $1 for it?
Lagkiller
Medicare just got the ability to negotiate prices
No, they didn't. Medicare has, and always has had the ability to set drug costs. The idea that they "negotiate" anything is absurd. Medicare has always, and continues to set prices by fiat, not by negotiation.
such as insulin
Insulin is not, and has never been covered by medicare. The amount you're thinking about is the cap (that Trump created in his first term) that capped insurance copays at a $35.
So prices are not negotiated on a national level
No, because each private insurance plan negotiates seperately.
most Americans have private insurance.
Medicare enrollment is 70 million people. Medicaid is 74 million people. Tricare, which is also another government run medical insurance is another 10 million. 28 million people are uninsured.
So no, the majority of americans are on government health insurance or no health insurance at all.
Lagkiller
Because it creates a false premise from the start of the argument. If his entire belief is that the government negotiates, then he is proceeding that there is some sort of give and take. And since the entire point is "Can the US negotiate lower costs and continue R&D" then it needs to be pointed out.
Lagkiller
I mean your argument assumes "negotiation", but that's not how government work. In every single government, around the world, when the government pays for healthcare, they simply set the price they are willing to pay. It's why most medications are not available in single payer countries as quickly as they are in the US and other places that are not government run insurance schemes.
In the US, it is no different. Medicare and Medicaid (the largest medical payer in the country), all prices are set by a board, with no input from consumers or providers. So the answer is, they could set prices to be a penny, if they wanted. There is no "negotiation" which occurs. It is the lie that has been perpetuated by politicians to make you think that the system has forces in it which are market oriented. It is not. It is the boot, and only the boot.

Queen is in a weird place right now. She's not overly strong, but she isn't weak. There are a few counter picks which make her incredibly hard to play, but against most of the roster (and most of the meta picks) she is fine.
The problem a lot of JQ's have is positioning. You're an easy to murder target. Walls and anything that can take hits for you is paramount. Playing in the open is asking to die, quickly.
The second is your bleeds. They're how you sustain pushing aggressively. A great way to get that healing to push up and take space is to intentionally miss the enemy team, to set your knife up behind and get the bleeds from recalling it and hitting them. Because the cooldown on it is so low, once you've pushed up, by the time you'd have an enemy low, it's already ready to throw and hit someone.
Don't be looking for big flashy plays. Yes, carnage gives you reduced cooldown for hitting multiple enemies, but being in melee range of multiple enemies means you're taking damage from them too. Use it as a way to initiate and chunk off some damage to force a retreat, or to finish an enemy that you shot while moving up.
Lastly, and overlooked a lot of JQ. Melee. All the time. It has a bleed on it, can hit in an area in front of you. Gives you more sustain. Knife into an enemy to pull them to you, left click, melee, shift, left click until dead.
She's a powerhouse that can walk down a lot of players, especially in uncoordinated play.
Lagkiller
Why is it harder? It's fun to be able to deny enemy ults because you were tracking them, or to enable your tank to play aggressive because you can pull them out when they need it instead. It's a game, sometimes you just want to have fun.
Lagkiller
If your lifeweaver isn't doing a good amount of damage, they just don't know how to play weaver.
Lagkiller
I mean none of the support heroes can't work if played well, the problem is just that several require more thought than half the playerbase can put in. Lifeweaver is a great support if he knows how to weave damage in with his healing and how to watch his teams cooldowns and enemy team cooldowns. But most lifeweavers just say "Oh no, they took a few hit points of damage, better pull them out of position into the open!"

Bro the petrodollar theory was debunked ages ago.
Petro dollar theory? What are you on about. Oil is traded in USD as the defacto currency. It's not a theory.
It is crazy you still cannot understand the size of the Eurodollar markets.
Not sure what tangent you want to move this on to now, but it still has nothing to do with inflation or monetary supply.
Petrodollar has little to do with usd s reserve status.
Ah yes, one of the largest markets in the world, traded entirely in USD, has nothing to do with the USD being a dominant currency. Sure buddy.
The petrodollar market is small compared to eurodollar markets.
You're comparing a commodity with loans. I'm not sure if you're just brain damaged or functionally illiterate at this point.
The petrodollar market is small compared to eurodollar markets. Austrian mentality is still in the 1980s beliefs like i said. Academic research shows that the petrodollar is nothing compared to trillions of usd traded in eurodollar marketd DAILY.
The size of the market is not the concern. Which is why I question your ability to reason. Oil is one of the most important commodities in the world. Having the ability to force oil transactions into our currency allows us to set terms, around the world, for trade. It means that when we embargo, say Russian oil, the world follows suit. Because they are trading in our dollars. It similarly becomes a problem for other trading partners who cannot access our currency (Cuba, North Korea, and so on). The petrodollar is not about the amount of money being traded, it is about the commodity and the need of that commodity. But you're so focused on size, you cannot listen to anything that isn't your own giant ego.
We all get our USD from USD debt.
Yes, I mentioned that multiple times.
This debt is not exactly printed money, it is mostly in the financial realm
Oh man, it's not like I didn't already say that.
the USD t bills rarely get into circulation
Yes, I already understand, you're not reading what I am writing to make up arguments in your head.
This is also precisely why “muh fed prints to extreme inflation” never actually materializes and even as massive QE was done for a decade, inflation remained in single digits.
Look man, I get it. You realize you're wrong but are completely unable to admit it because it's hard to be wrong. So you continue replying, because your massive ego can't handle not having the last word. You think that having the last word makes you a "winner" on the internet. So I'm going to bow out here, knowing full well you understand that you're wrong, but your massive ego so desperately needs a "win" today, so I'll give you that win.
It will go unread.
Lagkiller
You should go tell this guy that. He thinks that no tank player likes 5v5.
Lagkiller
Oh you're one of those redditors. The one whose ego is so massive that you think that having the last word means you "won" the conversation. So I'll bow out here and let you have the last word you so desperately need to feel a winner.
It will go unread.

You are in fact printing money to create global loans.
As bad as the federal reserve is, that's not what they do. They do not receive your loan application and then increase the monetary supply. They print money in spurts, most of which is done as they retire old currency and print new paper currency, or convert that paper currency to digital currency. New adds to the economy are done through government spending.
Thats why the reserve currency status is maintained
We're the reserve currency because of the petro dollar, not because we provide liquidity to the world. Most major countries have their own bank that prints their own money.
Honestly, you want to talk like an expert in this subject but haven't even done the most basic research on this.
Lagkiller
Unlike the other guy, as I noted there are people that prefer both. A lot of old time overwatch tanks prefer the 6v6 format. But when you look at a lot of the newer players and some of the people that played tank before the format switched, they tend to prefer the 5v5 format.
As someone who's played since beta, I understand why people like the 6v6 format. And while it is fun, it requires a tank of equal skill, where when I'm tanking in 5v5 I can just run the room.
Lagkiller
There is demand for USD globally and not just by other central banks but because pretty much most international trade is in USD.
The monetary supply is not dictated by people trading in currency.
On top of the vast majority of global corporations report in USD and they simply create demand for usd to simply finance their businesses (as large corps almost always get their loans in USD ALL OVER THE WORLD). All these loans and financing pretty much turn the whole accounting balance of these corps into USD pulling machines.
Cool, that doesn't change anything.
I worked in a turkish MNC and almost all of our activities were in USD in the billions. We took usd (and eur) loans from both international and Turkish banks. And mind yo, Turkey is small compared to bigger players.
Neat, we weren't printing money to create your loans.
Many of you austrian guys are stuck in the 1980s thinking USD market is simply about USD supply in USA. We are way pass that.
No, we just understand that monetary supply is printing of money for the federal government, it has nothing to do with who is trading with USD.
What determines “value” is a different debate.
The value is based on the amount of currency. There is no debate on this.
My point is if you want to account for USD inflation you cannot simply look at USD supply relative American economic activity.
Which is an incorrect point. Economic activity has nothing to do with inflation.
Lagkiller
Kind of depends on the enemy team comp, I think. But yes JQ can pair well with Zarya, if you're comming, and making plays together.
Lagkiller
I enjoy the petty insult because you understand you're wrong.
Lagkiller
Alright - can you reframe your argument?
I've done so already....twice. You continue to pretend like I said nothing.
All i said was that demand for USD matters for USD inflation
Which is incorrect. The demand for dollars might have flown in 1980, but even then digital currency existed. There is no "demand" for currency. That doesn't determine value.
Lagkiller
I've been playing since beta, as a tank player. I can assure you that I have the knowledge to know everything I just said is correct. You can take your pretend experience to someone new.
Lagkiller
I am unsure you read my comment correctly if this is your response.
Lagkiller
There are a lot of people who prefer 5v5 tanking versus 6v6 tanking. There are a lot of tanks who hate being the weaker, dumbed down tank that 6v6 provides. For example, JQ works great in 5v5. In 6v6, she is squished so hard that playing her is difficult at best. Zarya is great in 6v6, but in 5v5 she's massively hard to play.
The idea that there is a single mode that tank players love and hate ignores the heart of the problem.
Lagkiller
I swear, the non 6v6ers keep the argument alive more than the actual players.
I like 6v6. I just understand the limitations of the playerbase and am realistic about it. Sorry you are unable to deal with nuance.
Lagkiller
No one wants to fight someone with a dedicated pocket.
So, I provide you with evidence, you can clearly see that what I said is correct, and your response is to be snarky because you understand that your entire opinion is wrong?
Are you being for real right now?
