That was rough. I'm just dipping my toes back into the game and was highly encouraged to attend by a friend who was insisting it had not-miss swag. The whole panel was an insipid waste of time and there was no swag at all.

Really? A whole thread of comments and not one mention that they're time travelling buddies that rescued Leo, Mike, and Merdude with the help of their past selves, and helped the Mutanimals build their base in attempt to save them from the Gang of Four? Not a single mention that they fought Maligna together and with the help of Slash destroyed her hive world once and for all?
Future Donnie and Raph are one of the highlights of the Archie TMNT Adventures run.

You can try StarTiger, it's a directory of fanmail addresses for actors and other industry people.

Maybe the real prize is the parasocial relationships made along the way.

Your problem is using a GC. There's going to be their fees and markup on the painter, the wallpaper guy, the floor guy, etc.
You can save money if you hire these separately probably.
Also, while this isn't unskilled labor nor is it easy labor it's got a fairly low learning curve if you're even moderately handy. I did all of this myself in my own home including the mirror wall removal and I'm barely competent, and it looked and lasted better than the bathroom/kitchen remodel we paid for because I actually gave a damn about details.
Get some buddies and you've got a $30K side gig for your nights and weekends for the next six weeks.
LaughingRaptor
Ask again after this weekend.

The whole house? Maybe, who even knows anymore between inflation and tariffs and the high COL on Long Island plus how out of control many contractors are. I can tell you if it's Panther, you're getting fucked - overpriced shoddy work pretending to be premium.
That's a whole car they're charging you. Does the house need it? Is it old enough the next buyer is just going to demolish the whole thing the way they're doing in Levittown?
Get three quotes and pick the middle I guess.
LaughingRaptor
No, that's say for pay.

It means one cheese is tossed per say. Every time someone has a say, that's one more cheese tossed per.
LaughingRaptor
Which is then misconstrued as rats in the kitchen...
LaughingRaptor
While the theming was great once indoors, way too much walking to a different area to wait around for the minimal payoff.
LaughingRaptor
This is it. No notes. No reason to debate it.
LaughingRaptor
Zootopia is an eight minute show that runs every ten minutes and has a 15 minute typical wait time. And honestly if you miss it you're not missing much. Muppets is consistently 50+ minutes.
I'd either go for MK and rope drop Tron or reverse your plan and rope drop Hollywood and go right for Muppets or Rise.

Idris Elba is like scrapbooking. I don't know, just use something from your world.
LaughingRaptor
Nope!

CBD is great but I believe they recently announced they are moving away from MtG. Lots of Pokemon, One Piece, Riftbound, and Lorcana events though!
LaughingRaptor
Absolutely! They run Magic events and causal league pretty regularly, the environment is super inclusive, and they started doing Disney Pin trading events on some of the Lorcana nights.
LaughingRaptor
Everyone's Gaming Outlet in Levittown has a ton of MtG if you're out in Nassau.
LaughingRaptor
I had a similar experience pre-Covid, but I've been back to play Lorcana recently and Grimm has fortunately improved quite a bit. The owner has also been around the Long Island tabletop/gaming/convention community for ages.
LaughingRaptor
What they don't teach in the Disney College Program is how to make a cheesy pita.
LaughingRaptor
Sounds like you've got it handled.

Has this group played together before? This description sounds like party cohesion can be challenging.
The golden rules of character creation are that all characters must: 1. Have a reason to work with the other characters in the party 2. Have a reason to go on the adventure
If some are just trouble makers and more academically inclined that's much easier to run than "nerds vs bullies pvp"
You can go John Hughes with it and, through the actions of the "bad kids," have everyone tossed in detention together for whatever trouble they make in Session One (or even figure that out off camera in Session Zero) to give them a bonding experience and launch their first adventure.

Check out The Zen Room on Long Island or Double Feature Productions in NYC. Two excellent shadow casts.
They were giving those out at the booth as well.
