Sometimes I think battlefield would be more fun with only transport vehicles. The maps/combat was always fun and different from other games like COD. But tanks/helis pretty much always were only a source of frustration instead of adding to the game play.

Well aware that's not a popular opinion. But I think vehicles are at least more balanced in BF2042. No idea why anyone would think having choppers that could go 180-0 in previous BF games was anything other than a terrible game design.

Statements like this are made by people that do not understand large-scale software.

You could fire every engineer and Twitter would probably run for a decent amount of time. That's because of all the work the previous Twitter engineers did. It's no different then saying "I will never need to take my car to get any work done (oil change, battery replacement, tire rotation, etc..) because it's been running fine for 2 months".

There are a bunch of massive looming issues that can bring down Twitter at any time. Security breaches, legal issues, system/hardware failure, etc.. All of those things had large teams staying ahead of those issues. Now they are all down to skeleton crews (or gone completely).

Was Twitter bloated with too many engineers? Almost certainly. Was Elon's strategy of just telling everyone to quit that didn't want to work more hours for the same pay a good one? Absolutely not.

The only people left at Twitter are the ones that are either Elon fanboys, engineers that were afraid they couldn't get a job somewhere else, or people on a work visa who couldn't leave. Who knows how many key teams lost all of their best people because Elon didn't downsize in a smart way.

Clearly neither he nor you understood basic distributed web platforms if you think that shutting off some servers is in a distributed system without breaking the platform proves anything. Twitter is literally designed to be resilient to load, latency, and localized failures. Server redundancy is critical to that.
