I hope you understand my explanation might be the most passive aggressive, pretentious conclusion ever lol.

You're talking in circles. The fact is that you're handcuffing the shops with unreasonable evaluations, hamstringing them with outlandishly unrealistic budgets to work around. The point isn't that the part came in damaged. How thick are you? The point is that your "idea of what the cost should be" is being based on inferior parts to lowball as much as possible. Saying that "this is how it's done across the entire industry" isn't justification- it's actually an explanation of the exact problem I'm complaining about lol.

I was fair and unbiased, and admitted that sometimes this SOP is reasonable and stated that no one should feel entitled to brand new parts or any other kind of special treatment. Now do me the same courtesy and admit that sometimes the shops are put through the ringer with this process and sometimes the average driver is underserved by it. Especially relative to how much some of us pay into policies.

I literally quoted you. You seriously want to sit there and claim I made up what you said? This is the second time now that you have responded to one comment and conveniently ignored another.

Every unjustifiably pretentious loser on Reddit likes to feign intelligence by throwing around the only logical fallacy they can wrap their heads around (strawman). So, what's your snappy comeback for the other response then? You know, the one where I directly quoted you? Oh, right- you don't have one, because it demonstrates how biased and shortsighted your opinion on the larger issue is.

I don't know how you assume that I "feel personally attacked" when I'm the one who has a nuanced opinion on the issue. You assert that I'm "someone who whines about left lane campers, and you probably do so whenever there's a video about a reckless driver to deflect." However much you want to believe that I'm still the one who is on this very thread arguing with people saying that left lane campers had anything to do with the incident in this video. So, who is the one making strawman arguments now lmao?

There's clearly only one person who feels attacked by anyone who even minutely disagrees with them. That would be the same coward who took their ball and ran home crying.

This post is absolutely comical. You know what's worse than consumers expecting OEM parts on their garbage cars?

Do you have any idea how many appraisers Google parts that aren't insurance quality without bothering to call and check on the condition of that part? If you put in minimum effort and Google an aftermarket part, just know that they are ALL OVER the spectrum of quality. What you find on the internet isn't necessarily insurance quality. PLEASE STOP THINKING THAT.

The hypocrisy of you hopping on your soapbox about the expectation of OEM parts is nothing short of disgusting, when so many appraisers are trying to push parts that are falling apart, not anywhere close to the original color, etc.

No, I don't expect OEM parts for my vehicle when in all reality the value of my car is minimal based on its age. I get that many, many members of the general public don't comprehend this, and that's unfortunate. At the same time, get over it. There are so many jobs involving skilled labor, sales, customer service, etc. in which dealing with the general public is 10x worse. I'm not even in the autobody/tow industry, but I know someone who is, and there has never been a day that I envy him. Try having the half-cocked, white trash customer in your face telling you that towing a vehicle with no working suspension out of a ditch isn't difficult or skilled labor and not worth the cost of service.

What I expect is a modicum of decency, and to be made whole in a reasonable manner- especially when I am not at fault.

I'd rather shovel excrement than work for an insurance company. Gain some perspective.

Can't have anything interfering with the Apoquel agenda.

I doubt the org believes Marcus has "fallen off"...clearly their plan was to move Brogdon, but his medical file doesn't have actual words in it- it's just a red flag on fire. Clips got cold feet, because he's damaged goods and were bush league enough to allow negotiations to reach advanced staged before they did anything about it.

LeftHandFree111

That's fine. I like Brogdon, I'd just rather have Smart, and if Brogdon wasn't hurt it would've likely been him.

LeftHandFree111

Damaged-goods Brogdon ruined everything for us. I hate this.

LeftHandFree111

He clearly preferred moving Brogdon, but he's damaged goods.

Timelord for Okongwu, Bey and Garrison. Then keep trying to throw Pritchard and every asset you can at Detroit for Beef Stew. I love Rob, but he is never going to be durable enough for this core. Strike while the iron is hot and while the Jays' window is still open. Go ahead and downvote me...I would too. Like I said...I am a big fan of Rob. His PAES and injury history will never allow him to play a full season of starter minutes.

LeftHandFree111

The only thing that is the org's fault is drafting a guy whose knees are ticking time bombs. Other that that he was a great draft pick especially for where we got him, is on a good contract and has developed at more than an acceptable pace for me...especially considering the fact that he can't stay on the floor.

LeftHandFree111

If a Finals visit meant anything, this sub wouldn't be constantly complaining.

LeftHandFree111

People are honestly sleeping on ya'll the same way they did Orlando before this season. Orlando and OKC are far more versatile with guys who fit a "positionless" mold, but still. Cade is being underrated because people forget about guys when they're hurt. Duren and Stewart are exactly the kind of bigs you should be building around in the modern NBA. You got unlucky with your draft pick, but I could see you guys moving up, and either way it's not like you can't afford to try tanking again lol. They're just trying to fool someone to flip Wiseman...and they probably will too.

LeftHandFree111

Hardwood Houdini is the worst.

LeftHandFree111

I saw them while I was out walking my dog. One of them was tagged. I think it was the mama.

LeftHandFree111

PSA to the entire state: ALL OF THESE OUT OF STATE PAPER PLATES ARE FAKE. Start reporting these degenerates until more is done.

LeftHandFree111

SNARKY LARKY

LeftHandFree111

Exactly. What has KD done with any All-Star teammate who isn't the most prolific and accomplished shooter in the history of the game lol? This is going to be Brooklyn Part II.

LeftHandFree111

Brown seems willing to take less to stay in Denver.

LeftHandFree111

Rockets are so desperate that they hired a HC who not even Brooklyn would touch.

LeftHandFree111

The Bulls are the epitome of why being middle of the pack is the greatest nightmare in the NBA. All they do is tread water. They are the new Orlando Magic now that Orlando has a good, young team with a clear direction. Pat Bev is the perfect example of a desperation, stop-gap move...also the biggest clown in the league by a landslide. Bulls fans were talking such a big game only a couple seasons or so again, and I tried to warn them that a tandem of Derozan and Lavine is quite possibly the most mediocre, fool's gold tandem in recent memory, but they had to learn the hard way. The cherry on top is losing Lonzo the way that they have. I feel so bad for that guy abd hope he recovers.

People saying Detroit is the worst off just because they missed out on a top 3 pick are delusional. Give me Cunningham, Duren, Ivey, Stewart and Monty Williams/Stephen Silas all day. They are going to be solid this coming season.

LeftHandFree111

Cade is going to be nasty. He and Banchero are the future.

LeftHandFree111

I hate it, but I agree.

LeftHandFree111

The team's style of play suits mobile bigs. I love Rob, but if he can't play sustained minutes at 100% then find other mobile bigs who can.

LeftHandFree111

And then they had to get guys like Bruce Brown and KCP to get over the top. No path is identical to building a contending roster.

LeftHandFree111

Sure, but I'd rather just find some older Hyperdunks on sale.
