Ok here's the best mockup I could make to estimate the size of them.

Ugh im trying to get a photo for scale. They are suppperr tiny like I thought they were a duckweed root at first. We zoomed in super close. When it swam it was in a serpentine motion. Any additional thoughts?

It is a red congo. The shop dewromed him so i was hesitant to administer another treatment if there were no symptoms. He is still very active and hungry and gained weight very well since he arrived about a month ago. I have seen no worms coming from him either.

This gif is also super zoomed in. For scale that peice of poop was like 1/8th inch diameter.

This gif is also super zoomed in. For scale that peice of poop was like 1/8th inch diameter. Wouldn't leeches be a bit bigger?

Im honestly starting to think it may have sometbing to do with my water hardness... which is super duper high. Literally all plants are are supposed to be easy low maintence just melt away no matter what I do! All my swords and ferns. Ive found stem plants and bulbs are what I can keep alive lol.
