Single prices of raw cards have been crashing for the last 5 months lol.

All Pokemon would have to do is start re-printing Evolving Skies or something like that and the scalping epidemic would end. It’s the 2-year print rotation that’s scalpers are gaming. That’s why they are hoarding product. They know the way the hobby works now.
LegoRedBrick
Buying something for $45 in store and selling it online for $140 is literally scalping

Easy. Team Aqua Kyogre

The pack art was so much better before the Mega Era (minus the special sets Ascended & 30th). They really cheapened the look of the mega era packs.
LegoRedBrick
Nobody asked you idiot
LegoRedBrick
They only give the good packs out to special influencers who then come on to Reddit to post Rayquaza SIR’s and golds. Same as it ever was.
LegoRedBrick
Men would rather scalp Pokémon cards than work
LegoRedBrick
70% of people buying every week are scalpers or investors of some form. Like 30% are ripping packs. It’s all being driven by cheap debt. People just rack up their credit cards.
LegoRedBrick
I like both.
LegoRedBrick
Hell yeah
LegoRedBrick
Fascinating he is that observant.
LegoRedBrick
Crypto bros took over the hobby and now nobody can get product
LegoRedBrick
I pulled the full art Rayquaza in Storm Emeralda. Very cool card.

The Pokemon company doesn’t own retailers. So they can’t crack down. What they could do is form agreements with distribution and retailers that require them to sell a product at msrp or in limited quantities. But then that agreement would have to be enforced at each store. Chances of them doing that is probably near 0%.
LegoRedBrick
This is been going on for a solid two years. Nothing new.
LegoRedBrick
I’m a collector and it would not harm the beauty of cards at all. Rarity is a misnomer. People will desire a free promo card like Van Gogh Pikachu in which there are millions of copies just as much as a Moonbreon in an evolving skies pack. Art is art.
LegoRedBrick
Yeah agree. I’ve even seen some rip n ship content creators who’ve been around 5+ years with their own distribution say the current dynamic is corrupt. The WhatNot streamers are even worse. Normal distro gives out a few cases. But these guys end up with tens of thousands of packs. And have only been doing it less than a year. Crazy.
LegoRedBrick
Printing has never been the issue. It’s the amount of product that gets backdoored by distribution. Fewer packs make it into the hands of retail customers; instead product gets diverted to rip n’ ships and scalpers. They must have access to a distributor or big card shop to source 10,000 packs.

Paul is lucky.
LegoRedBrick
Yeah. Those would be good pick ups. They are pretty inexpensive right now.
LegoRedBrick
Ask a local LGS or post in a local market. I’m sure somebody will take them.
GameStop will have them for way above msrp.
