Ps: sorry for the novel.

I technically changed my name three times, but only once legally. For my first chosen name, I needed something to ease the dysphoria and I wasn't being overly creative tbh, I felt like I was, but in hindsight I wasn't. It was based on my birth name, stripped down to its bare meaning. I'm not gonna say my actual names, but it has the same vibe as "Wyndsday," and it was a stereotypical nonbinary name. I never really fully felt that I wanted it to be a legal name. I considered it but it never felt right. It didn't help that people kept assuming it was a girl's name, when it really was a name I made up myself, at least the spelling, and was not gendered at all to me.
I got really frustrated with this. So I changed my name again, but this time legally, let's say this name is "Julius." For years I went by two names, Julius at work, and Wyndsday with friends and family. This went on for four or so years. Julius is very obviously meant to be a guys name, I mean, Julius Caesar right? (fore shadowing)
I really enjoyed having these two names for a while. It felt like I had a nice separation between work life and home life. Untill people at my new job at the time called me Miss Julius. Not only was it dysphoric, but it was like a slap in the face. It's so obviously a guy's name right? I managed to convince myself that these people were stupid. I was so obviously a trans guy even only four months on T at the time. Anyway, then I changed my name to Guy Manderson in my personal life and I plan to switch to it for jobs too, but probably not legally as it was a massive pain to change. If someone calls me MISS Guy Manderson I'm going to call them Mr Barbara or whatever their name is because at that point it's willful ignorance.
Moral of the story: sometimes it takes a few tries and that's okay. Maybe try a few names before going through with a legal name change tho. Don't be like me.

My fiance when I showed them the picture said the little red spots look like some ancient language and that it looks like some sort of shaman, then they started chanting "all hail the shrimp shaman!" over and over. I thought you should know. :)

These pants give me serious deja vu, I think I had a pair kinda like them as a kid in the early 2000s! Good job and happy mending :)
LemonMood
I love your aesthetic. Congratulations on getting top surgery!
LemonMood
You look amazing, congratulations on getting somewhere safer.

That really sucks, man. Do you by chance live in the southern US? Taylor in a southern accent sometimes sounds like Tyler. I don't think you're necessarily reading too much into it though, people do the same thing to me sometimes. It's really frustrating.

I often think of the Lady Gaga quote that goes something like "you were born to be brave."
I've had to face to lot of things in my life that made me afraid as I'm sure we all have, and that quote makes them easier for me to face personally.

I like the hair, she looks like an 80s rock star.
LemonMood
Yes! I'm genderfluid between a fem man and nonbinary, it's totally possible. Sometimes I feel like both at once. You could also be bigender, op.
LemonMood
Interesting, I'm going to try this!

I always thought Jody was a girl's name but it turns out it's more commonly used for boys.
I think I gave to charity more when I was a Christian, but then I had some bad experiences that made me question how trustworthy the charities I donated to were. I was also younger and more wreckless with money back then. Now I still donate from time to time, but only really to people vetted by my community. Like a friend may say "hey, this friend of mine is about to be homeless, here is a link to their go fund me, if anyone is able." And I will do what I can in the moment, if I can. I've also helped people move and have volunteered at a food pantry a few times.
Donating to charity is not bad, but I feel much more fulfilled getting involved in my community. I'm not involved as much as I would like to be due to some health problems unfortunately though, I can only help ocassionally and I often feel bad about it.
I do think some Christians like to hide behind donating to nonprofits rather than actually getting involved in helping their neighbor.
