I guess that is the exception for the Netherlands.

I'm not familiar with the Netherlands politics but I know how great the bicycle infrastructure is and when people got infrastructure that make life better they don't want to go back that's true for everyone. The issue in most places is building the infrastructure in the first place to make people get used to not use the car... that usually take a left wing gov that force it on the people until the people actually see the benefit so it takes a large majority and a lot of investments for at least 10-20 years.

That's why it is so difficult to do.

In Italy I never, in my lifetime at least, saw a stable left wing gov, the few times we won it was a really tiny majority that could not last more then a few years... never enough to get things done.

For example the last gov actually made a law to allow the use of electric scooters and pushed for the use of alternative means of transportation to the cars... but now we got Salvini and he made sure to make electric scooters not usable without many extra cost like an insurance and a plaque... basically those that don't use it everyday will go back to using a car (at least for the most part... I'm using a kick scooter since that's a loophole in the law. I'm also thinking about buying a good foldable bike but I need something light and it need to be foldable because I want to bring it inside building to avoid thieves), he also cut funds for public transit and bike lines.

People using a car are not used to share the road, the infrastructures is still a work in progress and of course there are always young stupid people that will make something that make no sense like going on the highway with a modified scooter (and obviously the traffic police, instead of enforcing the law regardless of the presence of a license plate, justified themselves with its absence in order to do nothing).

In short, political continuity is needed to change things. Otherwise, the left builds and the right dismantles. The Netherlands are in that sweet spot where the right wing cannot dismantle what the people actually like and want, that's the only reason why they are not against bicycles... they actually are (after all rich people want to move in a car like they own the street) but they cannot do anything about that anymore. They need the majority of the people on their side... they need the poor to vote for them against their own interests, so they just don't touch what most people like.

PS. To be clear I'll make another example... In Italy nobody (not even the right wing) can say "let's cut public healthcare and public school". Because most people like and want those things... But they can just say they are in favor of them and little by little cut/not fix things.

It is no coincidence that during the years of right-wing government, services have slowly worsened and many now rely either on employment insurance (a scam to avoid giving workers a raise) or give up on medical care altogether because it has simply become difficult to book a medical appointment.

There are those who pay directly for a medical appointment in the private sector... and those who wait even 1 year or more to have these medical visits

Obviously, having a public service still works for emergencies, and in theory there's a way to get reimbursed by the state if it takes too long to book an appointment in the public sector.

In practice, however, the system has been calibrated by the right to make everything much more difficult.

Doctors are allowed to work in both the public and private sectors in public hospitals... but this leaves some doctors who dedicate much more time to the private sector than the public, and they do so in public facilities.

All these various privileges that right-wing governments have gradually inserted into various laws, which by themselves didn't mean much, but over time have caused damage.

After all the right want people to pay for healthcare, they want the same thing as US, because rich people got the money to pay for healthcare.

Right wing will always be like that, people just need to understand that and stop voting for them, even when they hate immigrants.

LiefLayer

Yet many people in EU still would vote for the same things here in EU.

Right wing is basically the same everywhere in the world, pro fossil fuel, pro wars, pro rich people, against welfare, against bicicles, pro cars, against immigrants, against LGBTQ+, against everyone that's different.

Tax the poors to make them richer, that's the right wing agenda, yet so many people that just hate immigrants or gays vote for them because people prefer to hate instead of trying to solve issues and make everything better for everyone.

Some right wing is against trump just because he act like he said he would act... like a selfish person... People knew it from the start yet Meloni, Salvini etc were happy that he was elected... until he decided to just be selfish on right wing in Italy too.

People that hate trump should not vote right wing, if you are, you are basically the same as maga supporters just in Europe.

Not true at all. The Pharaoh's Memories saga is awesome.

LiefLayer

I agree.

Orihime doesn't deserve anything bad.

I just think Ichigo and Rukia were a good match, but the main reason is that I don't think Orihime is as interesting as Rukia as a character and as a girl (I like strong willed woman), not because I dislike Inoue.

I actually think Inoue started strong but end up a little bit forgotten together with Chad, and I'm glad she actually did something cool in the new anime (I prefer the anime to the manga for that reason).

The main issue that I see with Orihime and Ichigo as a couple is that they are not fun together, while I really love how Ichigo react everytime he is with Rukia.

Still I don't hate Orihime at all, she is a nice girl and deserve happiness.

Gou and sotsu are shit. Aside from that Higurashi is an amazing characters story not a good mystery. That's why the spoilers actually don't really matter at all. I would not have liked higurashi based on the mystery and I would not have played it 3 times if only the mystery was good

LiefLayer

Don't worry. I played the VN 3 times already. Higurashi is not a story that relay on the mistery... It's a characters story. You can enjoy it multiple times just because living with the characters is fun. The anime does that in a decent way, the VN is superior on basically everything (you also got more openings too in the VN)

LiefLayer

I played the VN 3 times already. People takes spoilers way too seriously this days. A piece of art mean you can experience it even the 2nd, 3rd and so on time not just once. Higurashi shock value is a weak reason to actually experience the story because the mystery in Higurashi is not something you can figure it out, it is a mix of elements that can be supernatural or ground in reality so much that some people actually don't like the answer at all... But that's not the point of the experience in higurashi, the point is living with characters that actually feel real, I actually feel bad for them when things don't work out. I actually want to help them. So much that I don't like that the anime (especially gou/sotsu) relay way too much on the shock horror thing. For me higurashi horror is a really small element, confined within psychologic of each characters and should not be the focus at all because even in the most horror of the VN everything is actually more a drama then an horror. Basically what you got is just the answer to a mystery that was never a mystery for you to solve to begin with, you tried to find horror and shock value in a show that's way too mature for such kid stuff. Start from scratch and actually experience the characters, play all the VN. Do not try to reach the goal, enjoy the journey.

LiefLayer

Maybe it's a pun but since I'm not an English native speaker to be honest I didn't understand it

LiefLayer

LiefLayer

That's an idea, maybe I will try it next time. But I would also like to get better at tying it because I like the round traditional shape. Still I will keep it in mind for an experiment

LiefLayer

LiefLayer

PS. I forgot to add, if you use lemon juice 7,5 ml are ok, if you use citric acid just pay attention, the video say 5g but in the description it say 1.5g because he got confused when he made the video.

So 1.5g of citric acid is the correct amount to make mascarpone. I suggest lemon juice, it still works fine I never failed with lemon juice

LiefLayer

I'm glad it was helpful.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm actually helping someone or just wasting time expecially after getting answer like OP in this same thread did that time, but if other could benefit it was worth it.

LiefLayer

that's not real pumpernickel since the ingredients are not just cracked rye, water and salt.

LiefLayer

Non do giudizi sull'ultima foto.

LiefLayer

For what I understand historically speaking it was made in the oven after all other bread type so I don't think you actually need to maintain 105°C all the time, it could be an option to start high and let the oven cool down in the next 24 hours while the bread cooks. But of course this need experimentation. I don't have a wood oven so I cannot do it
