if eBikes modified for no-pedals throttle use can ride on them with no insurance

They can't. Those are illegal on public roads. You need a licence, registration of the vehicle and insurance.

When I visited the US, I noticed a lot of cars there sound the horn (briefly) when you lock them. Yes, it's exactly as annoying and confusing as it sounds.

They don't use third party anti-cheat solutions, but they definitely have used their own client-side anti-cheat for other games, e.g. Warden.

There are some shortcuts that make the run back much easier, you only have to fight 1-2 enemies and can skip everything else.

I like passwords more than OTPs, because I use a password manager, so to me it's extra hassle with little benefit.

This is like when Americans calls mains "entree". Do we need a ShitEnglishPeopleSay?

Liquid_Fire

Why was it so small? That looks like it doesn't even fit 10 people, let alone with luggage.

katsu curry

You mean just Japanese curry. "Katsu" means cutlet, and has nothing to do with curry (other than being an item commonly paired with it), and is not British in origin.

Google Maps works ok offline, but does have some limitations, like not being able to do navigation offline other than driving.

Also, depending on the area, it's often missing certain smaller paths, hiking trails etc.

It's only that for new customers, otherwise it's 2.25%. Though I guess op is likely not an existing customer as they would have probably seen the credit card (and cashback) advertised.

TIL Moorwing fight is not optional normally (I only played once, and I used the caravan)

I guess that proves your point though.

There's no doubt an ad blocker can be useful, but it's functionality for a browser to implement (much like: tabs, history, bookmarks, UI) not for a browser engine, which is what this is.

Not sure what you mean about logging in with a Google account?

Liquid_Fire

No, it's not a browser. It's an engine for building browsers or web-based applications.

It does include a very simple browser called servo shell, but it's just for testing the engine, not really intended for everyday use.

You're talking about conductive electric, but the article is about induction, which does make a difference.

How do you know where it was sold?

"ecchi" [...] now means a loosely similar thing to what Anglophones mean by hentai

This is not really true. In English usage, "hentai" means animated porn. In Japanese, "ecchi" means sexy, lewd, or sometimes literally just sex.

DSL is not dialup.

A dialup modem encodes the connection into sound and plays it through a phone call to another modern.

A DSL modem instead uses frequencies that are not used by the phone, so you can still use the phone at the same time, and it has a lot more bandwidth available.

I think it's just rendering trains going in a straight line between stations, so London - Paris and London - Lille.

It's not really a save editor. It modifies the game's state at runtime, usually to give you extra powers similar to the sort of things cheats would do (e.g. make you invulnerable, give you extra money, make you do extra damage etc). It usually needs to stay running alongside the game to be effective, because it needs to keep updating the state periodically (e.g. to keep resetting your health to max every time you get hit so that you are invulnerable).

With most banks, you can manually set a lower credit limit, you don't have to just use what the bank gives you. Just set that to the maximum you want to spend. Then it works essentially the same as a debit card - when it runs out, transactions will decline.

Otherwise it's also the same as a debit card - you can just open your bank app and check how much you have left.

pcm is "per calendar month". I'm not super familiar with London prices, but to me this place looks relatively cheap for its location.

In the second group, the "s" are pronounced as "z".

It's definitely Bulgarian, though I'll have to leave it for someone else to transcribe as I can't at the moment.

I was at Stansted airport, it was certainly a scene.

Amusingly, you could hear people's phones going off even as the plane was taking off an hour later.
